Improvements each and every day!!

Good evening! Wow, I can't believe it has already been 4 months since the last time I updated the blog. I received an email from the Snyder family today...so without further ado.....

"Many great things have happened since the last post four months ago. Quincey continues to improve each and everyday. Most importantly her eyes are focused on Jesus and the promises of the Word of God. We know his promises are yes and so be it. 'Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.' Hebrews 10:23

Summer proved to be very busy for Quincey. She consistently had work outs or some type of therapy five days a week, as well as, making up an entire semester of school. Her first outing with friends was a Casting Crowns concert in July right here in Rifle. August brought the Garfield County Fair. I mentioned her 4H pig Peggy Sue in the last blog. Peggy Sue made it to fair and won reserve grand champion in her market weight class. Quincey was able to sell her at the auction and apply the profits towards her college fund. She has been praying about the right college and the direction God wants to lead her.

She has been practicing her driving not only in an automatic but a standard as well. She is doing very well and gaining more and more confidence in her ability. She consistently uses a walker to get around our house. She is able to stand while brushing her teeth. She can go up and down stairs with support. She can side step around the kitchen counters with no assistance. She is able to help with dishes, cooking, and setting the table. Her strength and stamina in all that she does increases everyday. The right side is beginning to make strides in catching the left side. Her hands, fingers and wrists are responding better all the time.

In August Quincey returned to school for her senior year. She is doing well with enormous support from our family, church family, friends, administration, staff and community She continues her five day a week workouts and has added horseback riding to her schedule. Her hard work is paying off. Two weeks ago she was able to walk on the treadmill for three minutes and the stair stepper for two minutes with Tara and I at her side for safety only. Last Wednesday she walked on the treadmill for 12 minutes. God is GOOD!

On Saturday she will be going hunting with her dad and Uncle Trent. She is so excited. She sighted in her rifle last Sunday and I must say...WATCH OUT ELK! She is still dead on even with a few temporary challenges. She expects to bring home her first bull elk....we will keep you posted on the outcome.

God is doing a great work in Quincey. We know that as she stays the course, remains courageous, stays in the word and remembers that 'What is impossible with man is possible with God.' Luke 18:27 she will finish this race. She is the victor not a victim. She is an overcomer and a conqueror. She is healed, blessed, favored, set free, made whole, delivered, restored and prospered. She is the head not the tail, above and not below.

Very soon you will be able to view a documentary that Lyndsey, Quincey's older sister has been working on. I have seen the beginning of her work and it is wonderful. Sometimes we are so focused on where we are going we forget where we have been and therefore forget about the blessings, graces and mercies along the way. We are also including in this blog, Quincey's Play List. These are some songs that minister to us everyday. We believe they will minister to you as well.

The Climb

Good afternoon all of my fellow Snyder friends. I received an email from Michele last night and I was in Grand Junction so I am updating today.

Here is the email that I was sent:

"Well...Quincey fans we have been home 6 1/2 weeks already. It has been great being able to see so many of you and look forward to seeing many more in the weeks to come. This situation has been called many things...some of said its a journey, others a process. Let me jump back in time for a moment....

While we were still at Craig Hospital we went to see the new Hannah Montana movie...don't laugh its a great movie with a great moral message. At the end of that movie she sings a song called "The Climb". It basically says life is a climb and that there is some uncertainty at times, your faith is tested but you keep pressing through, you keep climbing, you keep commanding that mountain to move. This is the link that you have not heard it but would like to read the lyrics http://www.metrolyrics.com/the-climb-lyrics-miley-cyrus.html We all decided this situation for our family is just that, The Climb. "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 NIV.

This is by far the most rugged, treacherous, threatening, jagged, unforgiving mountain we have faced in our family in our lifetime. It has only been through God's graces and mercies that we are still on course, still climbing, still commanding the mountain to move out of faith, belief and hope. We know the peace, comfort and strength that is present can only come from God. "We walk by faith, not by sight." 2Corinthians 5:7

Quincey is doing great. The change we have seen in the last 6 1/2 weeks has been tremendous. We have seen her take 30+ steps on land and with assistance from a walker or mom and Aunt Tara. From sitting to standing requires almost no assistance. Her legs are very strong. Her right side is slightly behind the left in strength and movement BUT it is not far behind. Her left hand is getting stronger with more dexterity in her fingers. She has been attending open gym to keep up on all the workout routines and new plays. She will be attending basketball camp with the team the middle of June. She is making preparations with expectation to play again the game she loves. To see the dreams God has placed in her heart come to fruition. She practices everyday shooting hoops. She started out with a small squishy basketball smaller than a tennis ball tossing it into a small plastic trash can shaped like a basketball hoop. She now is shooting a basketball about the size of two tennis balls into that same trash can. She keeps stepping out in faith knowing God will meet her. She has also started online courses to catch up in all her classes. This will have her prepared to begin her senior year right where she needs to be. Oh, I almost forgot, she continues to work with her 4-H pig Peggy Sue. She sees her everyday, somes twice a day and feeds her plenty of cookies. One for you....one for me. We will see who gains the most weight by August.

We will keep you all posted. For my prayer warriors out there....specifically we ask you pray for hands, wrists, fingers, right side and strength in all those areas.

Update from 4/28!

Okay, okay, okay. I am apologizing one more time. I really am gonna get my act together and get this blog updated as soon as I get the emails. Life gets faster and faster and I seem to be getting slower and slower. Again, I am so sorry! I got this email from Michele on the 28th.

Well, this time I need to ask for forgiveness....its been a week since I have been in touch with Shari to update the blog. Now that we have our first week under our belts it is our intention to update everyone three or four times a week.

Quincey had an incredible first week home. Gods favor was experienced in each day from the very smallest of details to the big one. The outpouring of help and offers to help have been humbling. We did not know how many cared so much for Quincey...AMAZING! We have had a constant support system. Food brought to our home, people coming to our home to pray with us, help and encouragement with Mackenzey and Reiley, success finding the right doctors and physical therapists, equipment and facilities available for Quincey's use. So many offers to bring groceries, watch the little girls, help with Quincey and help with repairs around the house. Friends, family and people we had never met loving on us, offering us a heart of compassion, and caring enough to see that the needs are met. We are so BLESSED!

Miss Quince is getting stronger by the day. Her attitude is nothing but positive and her smile rarely leaves her face...except when she is sleeping and she has really enjoyed doing that in her own bed. There is truly nothing like the comfort of home. Prom was last weekend and she went to the after prom party. She had so much fun hanging out and laughing with friends. How cool is that! She was also blessed this week with a new touch screen phone. Needless to say it is a good thing we have the unlimited texting package. She is constantly catching up with everyone and loving every minute of it. Plus, it is great therapy for the thumbs and pointer fingers!

We will keep you all posted on her restoration. It is amazing to have front row seats to God's graces, mercies and super natural healing. "What is impossible with man, is possible with God." Luke 18:27

"So faith comes by hearing, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ." Romans 10:17

Home at Last!

Good evening! I received an email from Quincey and Michele last night. Haven't felt real good so I hadn't gotten on the computer until this evening!

Here's the email....

"As so many of you have heard, seen, or read on the blog....we are indeed home. Praise God! We came to Colorado from Miami in a snowstorm and from Denver to Rifle in a blizzard. I would have to say that the weather has painted an accurate picture of what life as been like for the past four months. Unpredictable, cold and dark at times, slippery and unsure with poor visability. How wonderful to serve a God that is bigger than all of that. 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and certain for the things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1

Being back home is both wonderful and challenging. I have to tell you the first stop Quincey made was to see her 4-H pig Peggy Sue. She was so excited to finally meet her. Then on home to see her faithful ole dog Howdy...he is so happy to have Quincey back home. We also had the opportunity on Saturday to the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys barn dance and auction. Quinc was able to see many friends, teammates, and family. Sunday was a day of much needed rest (and great snacks)! Monday she jumped right back into working toward her goals. No rest for the determined. When I have some time to get my thoughts gathered I am going to share the miracles, graces, and mercies and God's favor we have seen and experienced.

We are grateful to have so many who have loved, supported, prayed and cared for us. God bless each of you.

Headin' Home

Good evening! I received an email from Quincey and Michele this evening (AND I'm updating same night....WOW!!)

I'm quoting the email:

"Just wanted to let everyone know that we are heading back to Rifle. It is time to get out of this hospital, get home and let God finish the healing in Quincey. The seeds have been planted and we are patiently waiting the harvest. It talks about that in the book of James...not exactly sure of the chapter and verse. Essentially it says not to worry or cry because you will see the harvest of the seeds planted. We KNOW that the harvest we will see in Quincey and within our family and most likely friends, extended family and the community will be more than we could ever have hoped for or imagined. God is always on time.

Once we have had some time to get back to being a family, get settled back into a routine and allow Quincey some much needed rest we will get to the business of seeing everyone. We look forward to it.

We will continue the blog. Stay tuned for the rest of the story......

I know how excited everyone is to have Quincey come home (I am too!), however, as someone who has walked somewhat in their shoes, please give them some time to get settled. VERY LATE UPDATE

Hello everyone! I am again asking for your forgiveness. I received an email from Quincey and Michele on Sunday (Easter) and due to several different circumstances, I am just now updating. I am so so sorry.

Lyndsey and Dylan were there last week to visit. It was a boost of energy to have them there. They were able to see Quincey do her thing in the pool and filmed it all underwater!! It was very cool! They were also able to see Quincey get all of the way up in the standing frame! Now here is the cool thing.........she was able to go from a sitting position to standing - twice! The first time required more assistance than the second! The second time she popped right up with those strong legs of hers, straightened that back, pulled back those shoulders, put her head high and put on a smile that lit up the room! It was a beautiful moment and she is a beautiful young woman. Her therapist said "You are my hero today!" With emotion and tears that possibly only someone who has lived this could understand. They also have this on video and they can't wait to share it! She was also asked to with an inservice for the therapists Thursday morning (this morning as its 1:30 am) and will be showing that same exact thing to them! YOU GO QUINCEY!!

They will be coming home soon! Its a good time of year for new beginnings. God has started a great work in Quincey and He has promised in his word to finish it. Life and Wholeness...complete restoration. "We know with confident expectation it will be nothing less and probably more than we could ever hope for. Praise the Lord. "

As this email was sent to me on Easter Sunday, this is how Quincey and Michele closed the email. "Remember the sacrifice on this beautiful Easter Sunday. He paid for it all over 2000 years ago on that cross."

Good Evening!

Good evening. I received an email from Michele on Saturday. I sincerely apologize to you all for the delay. The ongoing moving saga continues. My family still has not been able to move into our new home (inspections are not going well). We have been able to move stuff in but we aren't allowed to stay there yet. Unfortunately, my modem was taken to the new house and I just got it hooked back up at the old house today. And on top of all of that drama, my husband got pneumonia. Scary stuff but he is doing much better now. Anyway...again I apologize.

Quincey had a very busy week last week with therapies everyday but all the hard work is paying off. She can stand flat footed without assistance or weight in the shallow end of the pool while next to the edge. When she is in the deeper water, she requires minimal assistance from the PT's to keep her balance and remain standing. Her legs are getting stronger and stronger. They are removing the stim on the FES from her quads and putting them on her calves. Her quads are so strong that she doesn't need them on that muscle group anymore!! She has also been using a manual wheelchair that she can move with her legs and her feet. This wears her out very quickly BUT she can do it! Praise the Lord! Since they are seeing consistent movement in her left wrist, left fingers and thumb, and right fingers they are doing E-stim to help those areas to become stronger also. They are truly seeing Gods promises fulfilled in her each day. That is for complete and total restoration of her body. As it was ...and better than before the accident. She knows it is His will to heal not if it is His will. Mark 11:22-24

They have also been moved to out-patient status. That is a good thing. She requires no medical assistance that would require hospitalization. It is all rehab from here on out. Praise the Lord! So mail from now on scratch room #332 and in its place put Apt. 409.

Good evening! I haven't received an update for the last couple of days but I wanted to put a couple of scriptures on tonight. I am sure that Quincey and Michele are enjoying the time with the girls and keeping busy with therapy.

Late Update

Good evening. I sincerely apologize. I received an email from Michele and Quincey last night but didn't get an update posted. I am very sorry!

Quincey had a great activity filled weekend. She loved having her dad and sisters there. She is looking forward to another tough week in therapy. Her little sisters get to stay for the week with them. Everyone is looking forward to spending time together.

Answered Prayers

Hello! I just received an email from Michele and Quincey.

The blizzard in Denver has made Craig Rehab very quiet tonight. They are all planning hall races!

Today - QUINCEY WAS ABLE TO GET ALL THE WAY UP IN THE STANDING FRAME WITHOUT ANY BLOOD PRESSURE OR NAUSEA ISSUES!! (Happy dancin' I am!!)

"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can dream or imagine...." Ephesians 3:20

Happy Monday!

Good evening! I just received an email from Michele. I also got to talk to her for a few minutes.

Quincey had a nice relaxing weekend. She got to visit with alot of friends and family on Saturday. She attended church and got lots of rest on Sunday.

More and more therapy! She is starting a new class this week. It will include circuit training for strength and endurance. She keeps getting stronger and stronger. They realize that in a short period of time Quincey has made some amazing gains! They know that it has nothing to do with their efforts. It is all from God and He gets all the glory! Today she had quite a workout on the FES therapy bike. She is working very hard so that the effort is hers and not the motor! She is up to almost 100 miles so far! Pool was very good as well! Core strength, leg strength and endurance are all improving nicely! THE BIG NEWS OF THE DAY IS THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO MOVE HER LEFT WRIST! WWWWAAAHHHOOOOO!!! That is such a HUGE thing to get that movement back! So prayer warriors - keep it up!! Your efforts are not in vain.

Their friend Robin (their roommate on the west side) needs prayers tonight. Robin has requested prayer for three things. 1. That her spasms will go away, 2. Her eight year old son, and 3. Her broken heart.

Choose to Live, Be a Fighter.

Scripture tonight is:

"I call heaven and earth as witness today against you, and I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." Deuteronomy 30:19

On a personal note, I am requesting prayers tonight for a family in the valley. As most of you know, our family was chosen by Habitat for Humanity. They are building an upper and lower duplex for us and another family. The family that was supposed to live upstairs, has chosen to accept a Habitat home in Carbondale to be closer to her family. Unfortunately, her father was just diagnosed with Stage 2 or 3 melanoma. Please pray for Thae and Sebastian Dunn and Thae's father. Also, please pray that we are able to get a CO on Wednesday so that we may move into our new home the end of this week. Thank you.

More Biking!

Hello everyone!

Quincey got on the therapy bike again today. She has ridden quite a few miles (Michele was unsure of the exact number of miles but she said that Aunt Tara would know!) Quincey is able to make the bike move with her own muscles without the electrodes. She also had the opportunity to get on a different type of therapy bike. Its called an Armitron. This bike doesn't require electrodes but has a motor that kicks on only when needed. She was able to peddle 15 minutes forward and 5 minutes backward! With very little or no help from the motor! YYYAAAHHHHOOOO! She was able to go shopping today with her Grandma and Grandpa Snyder. She helped Grandpa pick out a couple of ties, some dress pants and some cool dress shoes. They said it was great to sneak away during the day.

For all of you prayer warriors out there lifting up Quincey everyday they are asking that you not only keep standing on God's promise of complete and total restoration...life and wholeness but for God to continue to strengthen her wrists, hands, fingers, and triceps. Your faithfulness is such a blessing to their family. God is so good and they have the privilege of seeing it every day.

"Now this is confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." 1John 5:14-15

Good morning. I received an email from Quincey and Michele last night.

Quincey had a busy day yesterday. She worked hard (as usual!).

Another Great Day!

Happy Monday! I just received an email from Quincey and Michele.

Quincey had an awesome day. She got into the therapy pool again today. They had her standing with very little assistance, doing more walking and they worked her core muscles, shoulders and arms as well.

She discovered today that she can almost completely bend and straighten the fingers on her left hand and is beginning to see more movement in her right hand. The muscles are very weak and seem to fatigue very easily but every day the stamina and strength improve. WAHOO!

"The most important thing they would like to say is "all the Praise, Glory and Thanks goes to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

Because...."What is humanly impossible is possible with God." Luke 18:27

Another Double Day Update!

Hello everyone! I received a text from Michele last night but didn't get it until this AM. Since I was at work, this is the earliest chance I've had to update. So...I'll be updating for last night and tonight! Sorry.

Quincey had a great day on Tuesday. She worked hard in all of her therapies. She had an opportunity to be prayed for and to pray for others. That was cool! She is getting slight movement in her left leg and foot. She is also getting more consistency in the movement in her right toes. Most of all she knows what she knows and she thanks God and praises him for her healing. Scriptures for Tuesday night should have been:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8

"My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body." Proverbs 4:20-22

Now for Wednesday: nothing new to report regarding Quincey's attitude or progress. Continues to work hard, continues to maintain a positive attitude and continues to rely on her faith!

Scripture for this evening is:

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the Lord 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares." Jeremiah 30:17

Great Weekend

Happy Monday.....

Quincey had a great weekend. They all enjoyed great times with Lyndsey and Dylan. They went to dinner, a movie and shopping. Boy, give them girls chances to get out of the hospital and they are outta there!! WAHOO!

Quincey continues to work hard and continues to have a positive attitude! (Not that anyone expects any less from that girl!!)

It was a quick conversation with Michele but we wanted to get an update on the blog. They continue to appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

14 days and counting for the Edwards' (and Dunn's) to move into their new homes! PRAISE THE LORD! Thank you to all of you who have supported and prayed for us over the past 6 years! Coming home to Rifle was one of the best things we have done!

Quick Update

Good evenin'! I just had a real quick conversation with Michele! They are at the Nuggets game tonight. This is their first outing without a nurse! WAHOO!

Quincey continues to work hard, continues to have a positive attitude and her faith is strong! Today she got into the standing frame and tolerated it well. The standing frame is something that can be hard to build yourself up to. (Of course, Quincey makes the hard stuff seem easy!!)

They love you all. They appreciate all of your prayers and continued support.

Good Evening - Great News!

Good evenin'! I talked to Michele earlier this evening.

Quincey no longer ineeds to wear the neck brace! PRAISE THE LORD! This is a huge milestone that is 4 1/2 weeks sooner than expected! WAHOO!!!!

Everything is going very well. Quincey continues to work hard on strength! They are looking forward to a visit from her sister and brother-in-law. They are planning on dinner and a movie on Friday.

They attended a family meeting today. There are no medical issues to be concerned about with Quincey!!

Tonight the scriptures that were requested are as follows:

"He said, 'If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you." Exodus 15:26

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." 1Peter 2:24

I finally changed my calendar to March. Its a very cute calendar with little sayings. The saying for this month seems to be appropriate! (Its something I need to keep in mind - let me tell you!!) I hope you all don't mind if I put it on the blog tonight.

PS.. For those of you who do not know my families situation, we have been living in a rental home in Rifle for the past 6 years. The home has been adequate and was an absolute "god send" at the time that we needed a home. We were accepted by Habitat for Humanity and they have been building us a home in Rifle. Long story short - we will be able to move into our new home March 23rd!!! After talking to Michele tonight, we wanted to post this information on this blog because it is a prayer that is being answered!!

It's a Two-fer

Good morning my fellow Quincey friends! I sincerely apologize for how long its been since the blog has been updated. Michele left me a message Monday and Tuesday but I've been feeling under the weather AGAIN! Gotta kick this crud that won't leave me alone. Anyway, here's the latest.

Quincey is able to move her left thumb, left pointer finger, left toes, and right thumb on command.

Quincey had a very busy weekend. She had lots of visitors. She was able to see members fof the Lady Bears basketball team and their parents this weekend. She attended an awesome church service at Craig. As proof of God's working in mysterious ways, Quincey's room is directly above the chapel. Shane has been staying with Quincey.

As always, Quincey continues to work hard and keeps a positive attitude. Attitude is everything! Especially when its a good one!

Michele requested this scripture last night.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

I also wanted to let everyone know that out of respect for everyone's family time, I will not be pestering them for updates over the weekends. I will try to get well and get updates posted as soon as I get them rather than several days later.

Quick Hello & Update

Hello!

Quincey continues to work hard! Yesterday (I forgot to put this in last nights update - sorry!) Quincey tried a manual chair and did very well.

Quincey and Michele had a great time at the Nuggets game last night! I remember how great it felt to be able to leave Craig for a little while.

They love and appreciate you all.

Texting at a Nuggets game?

Hi everyone! We are really trying to keep the blog updated - Michele even sent me a text from the Nuggets game! (It hadn't actually started yet, I don't think but....)





It was a great day today. Quincey was grinning ear to ear at the Nuggets game tonight!





Quincey continues to know God's promises for her life, her physical and spiritual, her future and eternity through Christ Jesus. She stands solid on them. She loves and appreciates all the support and prayer warriors out there. Not only for herself but her family as well.





Quincey's Uncle Trent sent a comment with a scripture on it. They requested that I put it on tonight so here it is. I am hoping that its Ephesians 3:20. If this isn't the correct scripture, Trent or Michele, please let me know.



"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us..." Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

Update - and its not even late!!!

Hello everyone! I just spoke to Michele this evening and we have renewed our commitment to try with all of our power to keep the blog updated nightly!

Quincey is doing awesome! She continues to have a very positive attitude! She always has a smile on her face. She's working hard.

Quincey and Michele are very happy to be in their new room. Being in the new room is providing Quincey with some well deserved and needed freedom. Quincey has decorated their room with basketball, scriptures and items from her friends.

Tomorrow evening the recreational therapy department will be having an outing to a Nuggets basketball game. Quincey and Michele will be going on their first outing! They are very excited! Go Nuggets (Quincey may need to give them some pointers!!)

Quincey's temperature sensation is returning! WAHOO! Her blood pressure seems to be regulating itself more and more! Praise the Lord.

Just a real quick update on their friend Robin. Robin was moved to the east wing on the same day that Quincey was! I am very glad to hear that Robin is doing well also!

Michele requested that we pray for their friend Aubrey. Unfortunately, she is dealing with a few medical issues and our prayers need to be for a "healthy body".

Michele and Quincey's scripture request for tonight is:

"'Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him." Mark 11:22-23

PS .. I have a prayer request. I graduated with Kimberly Pruett in 1987. She recently had a baby boy (within the last week). The birth was rough and now little Asher is having some health issues. His name is Asher Livingston. His parents are Kimberly and David. He also has two older siblings. Please pray for this family and those who are taking care of this precious child. Thank you.

FINALLY - another update!

Hello everyone! I finally got a chance to kick the monsters off of my computer! Well, it was quite a bit earlier but.....things get crazy real quick around here! Anyway, I spoke to Michele this evening.

Quincey is working real hard in therapy and seeing more and more results! WAHOO! She is getting more movement in her left pointer finger and thumb. She has slight movement in her right fingers.

She had a great weekend visiting with family. Michele and Quincey are currently enjoying having the girls with them as well.

A Day Late!

Well, Happy Valentine's Day to you all. I spoke to Michele on Thursday evening (sorry - its now Saturday early am). I apologize that once again I've failed at getting this blog updated.

Quincey has been getting more movement in her right and left toe as well as her left pointer finger! WAHOO! Praise the Lord!

They have been setting Quincey up with a "pointer" so that she can start texting! HUGE milestone for a teenager!

The scripture that they requested yesterday (Thursday?) was as follows:

"...let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Good Evening!

Good evening all my fellow Quincey fans! I received a message from Michele this evening. (Guess I didn't get to my cell phone fast enough....this bronchitis is sure slowin me down...not that I was ever as fast or as strong as Quincey.....)

Quincey has had more great days! She started water therapy today and LOVED IT! She had a full day of classes today. She also was on the "therapy" bike again today. They increased the resistance on it and she kicked tail! There were a couple of people on the bikes next to her (a 22 year old and another 17 year old) and she whipped up on em! (You go Quincey!)

She maintains her great and positive attitude! She's working hard at this marathon that's been placed in her path. Every day is a step closer to the finish line. She's keepin her eye on the prize!

Quincey looks forward to hearing from her friends and family. She is anxiously awaiting the time when her therapy schedule will allow her friends to visit. That time is getting closer but right now her focus has to be therapy and her complete restoration. I will keep you posted as to when she can have visitors!

The scripture that was requested by Quincey and Michele this evening is as follows:

"When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them." Luke 4:40

As I was looking up the scripture above, I found the one below. Made me remember what a powerful God we have.

Another Apology....and UPDATE

I have to apologize again (its becoming a habit for me...) I'm very very sorry. I have had bronchitis and my three kidlets have been sick. Anyway, I just wanted to apologize. NOW FOR THE UPDATE....

I spoke to Michele this evening. Quincey had a great weekend and today was an awesome day as well. A great start to a great week!

Quincey was able to utilize the therapy bike today and rode for 5 1/2 miles. (Again, this is a therapy bike but WOW what an accomplishment!)

Occupational therapy and physical therapy today went awesome!

Quincey started school today. She also started some educational classes today through Craig. Let the learnin' continue!!

She is getting more and more distinct feeling in her tummy and her feet. She is also getting more and more temperature sensation in her left arm. BABY STEPS BABY STEPS!

QUINCEY SNYDER'S APPETITE HAS OFFICIALLY RETURNED! Mom is very very happy!
(About that ice cream ...there is a little sandwich shop down the street from Craig that has awesome ice cream and sandwiches....used to be there anyway!)

Quincey and Michele requested that this scripture be put on tonight:

I feel blessed to update you all on the progress that Quincey is making and I apologize for the delays that I have been experiencing of late.

Milestones, milestones....

Good evening! I spoke to Michele earlier this evening and Quincey has new milestones to report! (BOY DO I LOVE TO UPDATE THE BLOG WITH ALL OF THESE MILESTONES!!)

Quincey has been allowed to take her neck brace off at night! This is a week earlier than anticipated! It must feel great not to have to try to sleep with that brace on. Also in the sleep department, her care is so good that she is not being bothered by the staff as often as she was during the night. She is only disturbed every 3 1/2 hours or so now. ANOTHER HUGE MILESTONE!

Quincey had another great day in therapy today. She enjoyed a visit from some family today. She also received a visit from a pastor and received "Peter the Pup". There is a story behind the naming of this stuffed animal in Acts 3. (I gotta go get my bible!!!)

Quincey has made a new friend (well, more than one but this one is the 4 legged kind!). She has been hanging with a therapy dog named Nimoy. He is 8 years old. They absolutely love each other. We are hoping to post some pictures in the near future.

Today in Occupational Therapy, the therapist gave her two choices of therapy. Quincey said she wanted to "pump iron".

As you probably read in the comments from last nights post, Quincey's Aunt Tara provided the following bible verse. I am putting this verse on the post tonight at Michele and Quincey's request because they both loved it so much.

"...'This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you...." 2Kings 20:5

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

Awesome Days and Huge Milestones

Good Evening (actually good AM)! I spoke to Michele today (yesterday?) and Quincey has been having some awesome days! Every day seems to be better than the day before!

Quincey was able to use a therapy bike yesterday - HUGE milestone! Quincey did very well and everyone is very impressed with what she was able to accomplish. Therapy bikes are not like a stationary or exercise bike and there are alot of other things that are necessary for them to be successful but as I said before this is a HUGE milestone!

Quincey has never known the word "quit" and she works towards her goal of complete restoration EVERY day. Her attitude has always been positive and will, no doubt, continue to be! If Quincey can stay positive and focused, then there is no room for negative energy of any sort from anyone else!

This is the hardest work (physically, spiritually and emotionally) that Quincey has ever done but results are already being achieved! This is not a sprint but a marathon! Quincey is up for the race!

"This is what the Lord says: It is not be force, nor by strength, but by my spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in the way..." Zechariah 4:6-7

Throughout this ordeal, Quincey has been an inspiration to everyone she meets! What an amazing young woman!

Apology and Quick Update

First the apology, I am so sorry that I didn't get anything posted yesterday. I have a couple scriptures I want to get posted but I can't find the paper I wrote them on.

Now for the update, I spoke to Michele very briefly this evening. Quincey had an awesome day today. One of the best days she has had so far! Praise the Lord!

UPDATE UPDATE

Good Evening! I just spoke to Michele. Quincey has been regaining more sensation. Quincey will begin a new physical therapy regime next week. They have added several more therapy sessions.

Quincey is getting to visit with all of her sisters and immediate family this weekend. She's really enjoying it.

They wanted to thank you all again for all of the text messages, prayers and comments. They can feel the prayers working. They requested that we continue to pray for complete restoration.

There are alot of teenagers who are patients of Craig right now. Quincey has been able to interact with them which has been good for everyone involved. Can you imagine a better witness to the power of our Lord than Quincey? I sure can't.

Last nights update - tonight...sorry

I am so so sorry. I spoke with Michele last night but things got crazy! Quincey had a great day yesterday. She enjoyed a visit with family.

Quincey is working very hard in therapy. This is the hardest work she's ever done and the victory there will pale compared to any basketball victory! She is keeping an eye on the prize. She is making alot of friends and these relationships will last forever.

Quincey continues to keep a smile on her face. Her smile is something that everyone expects to see! Her years of basketball have helped her muscle strength.

They have a couple of prayer requests: Robin (Quincey's roommate), Jackie from South Dakota (her parents are Chad and Debbie), and Aubrey from Nebraska (her parents are Thane and JR).

Quincey received a large number of texts over the last couple of days (thank you and lets keep her inbox full!) They read the comments every day as well (so lets keep them coming too!)

Quincey's strength!

Good evening! I just spoke with Michele. Quincey is doing really well. She is always in good spirits. Her appetite is getting better. She is up on an average of 8 to 10 hours per day.

Quincey has been staying very very busy with therapy but she misses you all. All of her therapists are very impressed with her strength!

Quincey misses getting texts from everyone! (OK all.... lets fill up her text message inbox!!)

No Update but check out the poem!

Good evening friends! I have not been in touch with anyone this evening but I just found this poem today. It was written by my Great Aunt (Neva Johnson). It was on the back of her memorial service program. I think it is WONDERFUL and again caused me a WOW moment! Most of things my Aunt Neva wrote causes me WOW moments!!

Good Evening!

Hello everyone! I spoke with Michele this morning. I apologize that it took me so long to get this posted. (I had to run to Glenwood Springs to pick out colors for our new home!)

Quincey is working hard! They had their first "team" meeting on Friday. She is currently a member of several teams but I'm sure that the Lady Bears will always be #1 with her!

Quincey continues to have a very positive attitude! She is such an inspiration to people (including my husband - who after a year and 1/2 has started going back to therapy!! Anyway, enough about my family!)

Michele and Quincey are still encouraged and appreciative of your thoughts and prayers.

They love you all and miss you.

I'm sorry I didn't post anything last night. Another one of those nights were I was unable to connect with anyone. (Gonna happen from time to time!)

I know you are all still thinking, praying and hoping for Quincey's complete restoration so I realize that I don't need to remind you all....

I have a request.....let's fill up the comments, her text inbox and her mail box with our written words and love! Let's keep 'em busy this weekend! From experience, weekends are the hardest at Craig because there is no structured therapy....now we all know that Quincey will be working hard on her own but I think if we can keep them busy reading our love for them it will make Monday come that much faster?!?!?

Focused...Determined....Encouraged

Good evening. Quincey had another good day. She got to go outside again. She is extremely focused in her therapy sessions! Working hard!

Quincey loves all of the cards and comments that are coming! She has been encouraged and uplifted by them all. She also has her cell phone there and enjoys the text messages that she has received as well. She misses you all and loves to hear from you! (by whatever means you use) Therapy sessions have been keeping her extremely busy (which is what we need her to be right now) so she will probably not be responding at this time BUT....please keep in touch!

Late Update!

Sorry its so late. I spoke to Kathy this evening and then didn't get a chance to update until just now.

Quincey was up for 9 1/2 hours yesterday. I am unsure of the hours that she was up today but I do know that she got to go outside today. It was 71 degrees in Denver today! Sounds heavenly!!

Every evening the family reads via speaker phone. MacKenzey reads the daily devotionals. Then Michele reads a chapter to everyone from "90 Minutes in Heaven". This family time is something they all look forward to. (Makes me wonder why I don't make time to spend with my kids when we are all in the same room! What an inspiration this family has been to me!)

Awesome Day - Awesome Therapy

Hello Quincey's friends and family.....

Today Quincey had another great day in therapy. Quincey had a great attitude again today. (I know where Quincey gets her strength and attitude but it amazes me all the same! Isn't God's power awesome!)

Another Awesome Day

Today Quincey had another awesome day. They had family in and out again.

She is anxious to begin another week of therapy tomorrow.

They wish to thank you all again for your continued support, love and prayers.

Weekends are kind of quiet at Craig because there are no scheduled therapy sessions. I will update tomorrow as soon as I hear anything.

Awesome!

They had a great day today....lots of family in and out. Quincey was up and mobile for several hours. The smile never left her face.

Quincey was humbled by the article in the Post Independent and the support of the community, family and friends.

Progress continues and its amazing to witness.

Quincey would like to ask for prayers for Salbatore Vanni, four years old, son of Dr. Vanni (Quincey's neurosurgeon in Miami). He has Stage 4 neuroblastoma and he is so precious. Also, Zach, 15 years old, who is a new patient at Craig. His family is from California, his dad is Brad and his mom is Darcy. They do not have any family in Colorado.

Tonight the scriptures were chosen by Danika (my eight year old daughter) and Sabree (my eight year old niece) for Quincey's restoration.

2nd Day of Therapy

Hello everyone,

Quincey had another awesome day. Her 2nd day of therapy went well. She is tired again tonight but, again, its a good tired.

She was up today for 6 hours. She also got to go outside for an hour today. She was able to go over and see the apartment where her parents are staying. My understanding is that she really enjoyed being outside. Who wouldn't...we live in COLORADO!

The movement in her arms appears to be getting stronger (WAHOO!) again...baby steps baby steps. Every step is a step forward - Praise God!

The immediate family really enjoyed being together this evening. They read aloud from a book that is very meaningful to them (I will ask again what the title is....I forgot....sorry!) I am going to put a personal note here.....this family amazes me! The faith that they have is contagious! It makes me want to be a better and stronger person! okay....enough about how I'm feelin...this blog is about Quincey!

They love and appreciate everyone and miss you all.

I will update again tomorrow.

A Really Good Day

Quincey had a really good day today. She was up for 4 or 5 hours and she started therapy today. She was tired this evening but it was a good tired!

Quincey's upper arms are very strong. She will have two sessions of therapy tomorrow .... and so it begins! These will probably be the hardest workouts of her life but they are also gonna be the most important!

They had family visiting today and enjoyed the time with them. They are very glad to be back in Colorado.

They have met alot of families during their short time at Craig. Michele told me that she knows that God's timing is perfect and that they are where they are supposed to be at the time that they are supposed to be there! (What an amazing family they are....that's why we all love them!)

They have such amazing faith and knowledge that God is their rock and they can do all things through God! What a testimony!

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?" Psalm 27:1

Good Evening

Hello everyone. I just talked to Kathy. Quincey had a good day today. She sat up today for 4 hours. She was able to wear shorts and a tshirt today. YAHOO!

Quincey will begin physical and occupational therapies tomorrow. She is probably anxious to get the workouts started...knowing Quincey the way everyone does! She has never shied away from hard work!

They are still really enjoying the comments everyone has been sending so lets keep it up until Quincey can start getting visitors or she comes home!

THE LATEST AND GREATEST NEWS!! (so far....)

Quincey was moved to Craig Rehab Hospital in Englewood yesterday. The move went as well as could be expected. She was exhausted last night but in very good spirits.

I know that everyone is excited to see Quincey, Shane and Michele but visits to Craig right now are limited to immediate family only. I do not know when everyone will be able to visit but I will let the blog know as soon as I know anything!! (Quincey will be very very very busy with her therapy sessions and she will be exhausted.)

Everyone is excited to be "home" in Colorado and can not wait to start receiving cards and letters from you all. They still absolutely love to hear the comments that you all have been posting so please continue. They print them out every morning! I will continue the blog until Quincey is fully restored!

I have not had a chance to speak with Shane or Michele this evening. There are gonna be days that we won't connect but I will do my absolute best to keep everyone up to speed!

Quick Update

I just spoke with Michele. Quincey got to go outside today in the sunshine. The sunshine must have felt awesome!

They had visitors all morning. The visitors were people who live in the Miami area and have heard about Quincey through a prayer chain. They were very uplifting and encouraging to Quincey. They were also able to meet their "roommates" from the next room and their pastors. "Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is useless. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good." Psalm 127:1 What a house and city that the Lord is building and protecting through Quincey. They truly feel that they were meant to meet all of these people today. God has a good plan for how this is to play out. God is good!

Michele wants to thank everyone for their continuing prayers, support and encouragement through this time and beyond. God is sustaining and making the "impossible" possible. "O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.... Your strong right hand is filled with victory..... For that is what God is like. He is our God forever and ever, and he will be our guide until we die." Psalm 48:9,10,14

Good Evening -

OOPS! Sorry. I was getting pretty confident in my abilities to blog....guess that serves me right, huh?!? Anyway......

I got a text message from Florida this evening. Quincey wants to once again say "Go Lady Bears". She was very happy about last nights win.

They want to send their love to everyone here. They are anxiously awaiting the day they can get out of Florida and back to Colorado.

They appreciate the comments and prayers.

I will update as soon as I have more information, but I do not expect to hear from them until tomorrow sometime.

Tonight I pray that Shane, Michele and Quincey can feel the love and support that we are all sending their way. I continue to pray for Quincey's complete restoration.

GO RIFLE LADY BEARS!

I received a message from Michele today (I gotta remember to take my cell phone off of vibe!!)

Quincey is hoping that the Rifle Lady Bears put the boots to the Palisade Bulldogs tonight. She can't wait to be back in action with her fellow Bears. I know we can't wait for that day as well.

Quincey had a good day today, her appetite is good, there were no breathing issues and her blood pressure seems to be stabilized today as well.

The verse that Michele, Shane and Quincey requested to be on the blog is as follows...."What is impossible with men is possible with God." Luke 18:27

They are still hoping to be moving Quincey to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Denver soon. They are so anxious to be back in Colorado.

Good Morning!

Good Morning! I just spoke with Michele. Quincey had one of her best nights of rest last night!! Quincey's appetite is still good and she is maintaining her strength (spiritually and physically).

Shane and Michele are getting "as much rest as a parent can get with a child hurting". Michele wanted me to tell everyone that the prayers for them all are sustaining them right now. There is no greater power or comfort than God!

They are anxiously awaiting the word as to when they will get to bring her to Colorado. They will let us know as soon as they have a date for the next step in this journey.

They want everyone to know that the comments on the blog have been so awesome to read! Keep 'em comin!

QUINCEY'S OUT OF ICU!!

Hello - I have great news tonight! Quincey is out of ICU tonight! She was moved to a private suite - "swanky" is what Shane told his mom! When they moved Quincey all of the ICU staff was happy for her but they were sad to see her go. They all promised to come see her in her new room as soon as they can. What an impact she is having down there. Miami will never be the same!

Quincey sat up for 4 hours today. She told her parents that she would sit up all night if it meant she could get out of there!

Quincey's appetite is returning. (She's even eating her Mom and Dad's food!)

Quincey is having such a positive effect on everyone she comes in contact with. She has a head nurse who is quite stern and has a "military" type personality. Quincey has even softened her heart. The other nurses are absolutely amazed at the effect Quincey has had on her.

Quincey's therapist is a believer and believes in the power of healing. When she looks into Quincey's eyes she sees the belief that Quincey has.

They are waiting for a room in Colorado! Hopefully, it will be soon.

New Information

Good evening. I'm sorry it took me so long to get an update to you all but I had to go back to work today.


Anyway, I just spoke with Michele about an hour ago. Quincey's oxygen levels today were a little low but with increased breathing treatments the issue seems to be resolving. I don't think that it is something to be overly concerned about but let's pray for her breathing.


Shane and Michele were able to get into the Ronald McDonald house last night...WAHOO! The house is a 5 minute walk from the hospital!


Michele said that tomorrow Quincey should hopefully be moved out of ICU.


She also said that because of the length of time it seems to be taking to receive mail down there, please hold any cards or letters until they return to Colorado. Quincey is enjoying the blog and the comments so please keep them coming. As soon as I know they are transferring her, I will update the blog with all relevant addresses.


They love each and every one of you and appreciate the prayers and good thoughts.

A Message from Michele and Quincey

Hello. I spoke to Michele this afternoon (around 2 pm - sorry its taken me so long to get this posted).

Quincey had an emotional and challenging morning BUT Quincey got through it with her usual
determination. There are gonna be days that are harder than others but by the same token there are gonna be days that are gonna be AWESOME!!

Quincey felt more touch sensations today on her arms and legs whereas she had been feeling pressure before. 80% of the time today she was able to identify exactly where she was being touched! YAHOO!

They met a family at the hospital that their son was on his honeymoon in Mexico and on December 2nd, on the same exact beach he suffered the same exact injury as Quincey. Quincey asked that I mention them in the blog. She is requesting prayers for their family as well. Their names are Alfred and Michelle, Michele does not know their last name but God does.
I have a message from Quincey herself...."I'll be in Colorado soon. Keep praying for total restoration and keep blogging. I love the messages and scriptures!"

Tonight the scripture is from Quincey. They have been reading the bible and pick a scripture for the day. I can not think of a better scripture to put on the blog this evening than the one that is sustaining our friends in Florida!

"...let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1

Good Morning!

Good morning! I just spoke with Michele. Not alot of new information but she wants everyone to know that Quincey's attitude is very positive. Quincey got as much rest last night as possible in a hospital. Michele sounded really good this morning!

Michele goes to a computer in the hospital and prints off all of the comments from the blog. Quincey is really enjoying hearing them all. Keep 'em comin'!

That's all of the news that I have right now but I will send more as soon as I hear it!

Nightly Update!

Good evening friends! I just spoke with Kathy (Shane's mom) and Quincey had a rough afternoon. These days are to be expected but it sure doesn't make them any easier.

Shane and Michele were able to wash Quincey's hair today and it exhausted her but I'm sure it felt fantastic! She requested chap stick to be placed in her hand, although she was unable to put it on herself, the effort was a huge milestone. Baby steps....Baby steps!!

Quincey had the opportunity to talk to Lyndsey, Dillon, MacKenzey, Riley, Aunt Tara, and Uncle Chad this afternoon. Quincey also spoke with her Grandma Kathy and Howdy (Shane's only son) this morning. Speaking with family sure has a positive effect!

Please continue to pray for Quincey's full restoration, but I am also requesting tonight that prayers be said for the girls (MacKenzey and Riley) as they will be coming home from their vacation tomorrow and the full impact may hit them. Also, please continue to pray for Shane and Michele's strength as this journey is underway.

Shane has been quoting John 14:12-14, therefore that is one of the scriptures I will put on tonight.

" I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

New Info

Good Evening! I spoke to Michele a little while ago. Quincey had a good day. She worked really hard and is really tired. But as Michele said "It's a good tired!" She continues to get strength in her arms and there was more sensation in her legs!!

I asked how Shane and Michele were doing and Michele said "when Quincey has a good day, we have a good day!" So they had a good day today as well!

Last night Michele stayed with Quincey all night so tonight Shane will be staying with her. Hopefully, they will all be able to rest.

Michele asked Quincey if there was anything she wanted to add to the blog and I could hear Quincey in the background. She asked everyone to continue to pray for her complete restoration. And she wanted to let everyone know that she loves you! Although I didn't speak to her, it was still great to hear her voice in the background!!

I was reading the comments on the blog and WOW! What an amazing group of friends and family Quincey, Shane and Michele have! Guess it just goes to show what amazing people Shane, Michele and Quincey are, don't it!!

Well, the journey will be long but the bible is big......

Blessings!

Good evening friends!

I just got off of the phone with Michele. Quincey had an awesome day today! She had more strength in her arms and she could feel more touch sensations. She sat up and ate today! Giant baby steps! As Jesus said in Mark 9: 23 "...Everything is possible for him who believes."

They seem to be having a little bit of a hard time regulating Quincey's blood pressure (which from my experience is really not that unusual but let's please pray about it!)

Michele said that her and Shane got some rest last night (thank you Jesus!!). I believe they are on their way right now to try to rest tonight. Their spirits seem great tonight! Again, they want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

They are looking forward to the day that they can come home to Colorado! Shane, Michele and Quincey, if I may speak for everyone, we are anxiously awaiting that time as well!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105

I do not expect to hear from them again this evening so I will send updates as soon as I hear from them again!

Prayer Request

Hello everyone! I spoke with Shane's mom this morning and the newest prayer request is for Quincey's physical strength. Quincey's strength is relatively low right now. As can only be expected with this long journey!

Keep checkin' in.....I will be updating the blog as soon as I hear more information!

Quincey, Shane and Michele, I greatly admire you and your strength. I know that the road looks rocky right now but you guys are so strong. When you feel discouraged, remember we are all here to bolster you and although we can not be there physically - you have a large number of people who are with you spiritually!

Good Morning

Good Morning! I received a message from Michele this morning. She sounds tired but good. They had not been in to see Quincey yet this morning but she wants everyone to know what an amazing young woman Quincey is (comes from her parents I would say!!) They see small miracles every day! Baby steps...baby steps!

Quincey's verse she is living by right now is "walk by faith not by sight" 2Corinthians 5:7. WOW! We can all live by those words! Quincey has never faltered that she will recover fully!

Michele wanted to let everyone know that they are receiving and appreciate all messages (text and voice) but they are not able to return them all. They check the blog as well and take all of the comments and messages in with them to see Quincey. Their strength is coming from knowing that people are praying and thinking about them! You are all in their thoughts and prayers as well.

The power of prayer is an amazing thing! Please continue to pray for Quincey's restoration and Shane and Michele's strength!

Just a quick note....

I was hoping to be able to get an update to you all this evening but Shane and Michele are getting a chance to REST!!! Praise the Lord! Their rest is very important for their strength and restoration. I pray, dear Lord that Shane, Michele and Quincey get the healing powers of rest tonight. Please watch over them and let them feel the love that is coming their way. Amen.

I look forward to speaking with Shane and Michele in the morning! Quincey is in good hands (both medically and most especially spiritually!!)

New Year - New Update

I just spoke with Shane this morning. Quincey was in a ct scan to check how successful surgery was. Quincey slept peacefully last night. Shane says she is very tired today. After a long surgery, that is to be expected.

Shane and Michele appreciate all of our prayers and good thoughts that are going their way. I will be talking to Shane and/or Michele throughout the coming days and will update this blog as soon as I have new information. I waited to start the blog until I had talked to Shane.

The coming days are going to be full of baby steps in recovery that will seem like giant steps to those involved. Shane told me today that Quincey has moved a foot!

You can all post messages on this blog. Shane, Michele and Quincey will be checking the blog when they get a free moment.

For those of you who do not know who I am, my husband was injured 6 years ago. While Scott was in the hospital, my uncle sent bible verses to us in the hospital every day. What a joy and comfort they were. Not only to us but to other patients as well.

I will be posting bible verses daily even if there is not an update. If any of you have a bible verse that is especially meaningful to you, please post them in a message.
