Nightly Update!

Good evening friends! I just spoke with Kathy (Shane's mom) and Quincey had a rough afternoon. These days are to be expected but it sure doesn't make them any easier.

Shane and Michele were able to wash Quincey's hair today and it exhausted her but I'm sure it felt fantastic! She requested chap stick to be placed in her hand, although she was unable to put it on herself, the effort was a huge milestone. Baby steps....Baby steps!!

Quincey had the opportunity to talk to Lyndsey, Dillon, MacKenzey, Riley, Aunt Tara, and Uncle Chad this afternoon. Quincey also spoke with her Grandma Kathy and Howdy (Shane's only son) this morning. Speaking with family sure has a positive effect!

Please continue to pray for Quincey's full restoration, but I am also requesting tonight that prayers be said for the girls (MacKenzey and Riley) as they will be coming home from their vacation tomorrow and the full impact may hit them. Also, please continue to pray for Shane and Michele's strength as this journey is underway.

Shane has been quoting John 14:12-14, therefore that is one of the scriptures I will put on tonight.

" I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

"Give all your cares and worries to God, for he cares about what happens to you." 1Peter 5:7

In God's love,

Shari

  7. Hi Quincey,

It's Mr. Alfini. My brother heard about what happened today and sent me this page immediately. My self and the entire Alfini family are praying for you and your family. Even all the Alfinis here in Chicago. I can only imagine how tough things are right now...

I want you to know-that I know you're gonna be back, stronger than ever. You are tough as nails, as strong as an ox...and that work ethic- simply UNSTOPPABLE. There aren't many people like you in this world, as resilient or strong, but what's even more rare is your personality. I could always count on your infectious positive attitude to brighten our class and my mood. Thanks, for inspiring not only for me, but our school, town and a whole lot of basketballers out there.

Keep fighting and don't look back.

    We all love you,
    Your friend,
    Alfonso

  8. Quinc,
Uncle Chad just talked to your dad and he was so excited to hear that you got to take out your IV's today! You are my HERO!! We are also so excited for you to move out of ICU, so keep up the good work! I sent you a pathetic email today, so have your mom print it off for you. I was having some technical difficulty with your blog, and thank God for Uncle Chad being a computer guy like someone else I know! I pretty much summed the whole day up in your email, but I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of you and how I am so excited to see you walk out of your room with your butt hanging out of your gown for the whole world to see!!! Ha, Ha! Let me know if you need me to show you any dance moves to do going down the hall; I surprise myself sometimes! Do you have any funny movies or comedy tapes you could listen to? Laughter is good medicine you know?! I am not that funny, but I do know you have gotten some pretty good laughs from watching me. I guess I better let the girls say something. I LOVE YOU Buddy and can’t wait to see you!!! You have such a special place in my heart and you always have; can you imagine the special place in God’s heart for you? Here is the email I sent to everyone on my email list.
    Hi everyone!
Well, I am really trying to keep everyone updated with our niece Quincey. She was in a diving accident on our family trip to Mexico. She broke two vertebras in her neck but her spinal cord is perfect!!!! Praise God! That is the power of prayer and the miracle of healing!! She is in Florida still where she had the surgery and is hopefully moving out of ICU today! She is so positive and strong! We would all appreciate prayer for her TOTAL HEALING and to pray these scriptures over Quincey, Shane, and Michele: Phil. 4:13 = I can do ALL things thru Christ who gives me strength. John 14:13-14 = And whatever you ask in My Name that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My Name (Jesus), I will do it. YES!!!!(I put this!). Is. 53:5 = ...And by His stripes, WE ARE HEALED!!! Matt. 4:24 = ...and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and HE HEALED THEM. and Heb. 13:8 = Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever! So, if He is still the same as He was back over 2,000 years ago, He is still doing miracles today - right?! Jesus is still our HEALER!! If you will please stand on that with us, there is great power in numbers! Quincey's blog site is : quinceysnyder.blogspot.com
We love you all and appreciate your prayers!!
