Last nights update - tonight...sorry

I am so so sorry. I spoke with Michele last night but things got crazy! Quincey had a great day yesterday. She enjoyed a visit with family.

Quincey is working very hard in therapy. This is the hardest work she's ever done and the victory there will pale compared to any basketball victory! She is keeping an eye on the prize. She is making alot of friends and these relationships will last forever.

Quincey continues to keep a smile on her face. Her smile is something that everyone expects to see! Her years of basketball have helped her muscle strength.

They have a couple of prayer requests: Robin (Quincey's roommate), Jackie from South Dakota (her parents are Chad and Debbie), and Aubrey from Nebraska (her parents are Thane and JR).

Quincey received a large number of texts over the last couple of days (thank you and lets keep her inbox full!) They read the comments every day as well (so lets keep them coming too!)

They love and miss you all!

"I love you Lord; you are my strength." Psalm 18:1

"The Lord is righteous in everything he does; He is filled with Kindness." Psalm 145:17

I am sorry again that I didn't get this posted last night. I promise to be better in the future!

God's blessings and love to you all,

Shari

  2. Quincey:
I am glad to hear you are doing well. It reminds me of my time in Craig. I think my best memories are of the other patients. I met so many who were brave and joyful. There were many who were in worse condition than me. Any successes for one person, were encouragements to each of us.
The family members tended to have a harder time than the patients. I encourage you to let your strength be an encouragement to your parents and close family members.
I am confident that you will set standards of achievement for others to follow. this experience will strengthen those around you.
Lastly, I remember the staff at Craig. I had some awesome nurses, aides, therapists and other medical personnel. They were all supportive. Not only were they professional but they were personal too. They gave me excellent advice and care.
God has blessed me with great frinds, care and his loving grace. His blessings are with you.
    Love, Jody

  4. Hey sweetheart Jimmy recieved this in an E-mail and I really thought you would like this..SOMETIMES WE JUST NEED TO BE REMINDED: a well known speaker started off his seminar by; holdind up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, Who would like this $20 bill? Hands started going up. He said, I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, Who still wants it? Still hands were in the air. Well, he replied, What if I do this? and he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now who still wants it? Still the hands went into the air. My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumbled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased. YOU ARE STILL PRICELESS TO THOSE WHO DO LOVE YOU. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know but by who we are and whose we are. You are special Don't ever forget it!! God made all of us so very special.. Hope you liked it, know you are working so hard keep up the awsome work hope to see you very soon.. It is friday tomorrow, YA!! Brian said the song IMPOSSIBLE was just for you.. My favorite line is (you make all things possible). You really do Quincey.. Love you have a great day!! Miss you all bunches.. Hope you are well Michelle.. All love and preyers your way!!

  6. Hi Girls!

Good morning. We have SUNSHINE! It is such good medicine for the soul.

We have another wonderful verse for today~

Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will
    sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry
    you;
I will sustain you and I will
    rescue you. Isaiah 46:4

We are praying for all of you to have the physical strength you will need to get through this journey. We know the journey will be long but he promises to sustain you.

We pray for your mental strength. The enemy uses our mind as a weapon against us. We pray the Lord gives you the peace of mind that only he can bring.

Must go for now. Sadie is pulling at my sleeve while I'm typing. She's demanding a walk. I also need to repair some of my tree cages. The elk were VERY busy last night.

    Always in our prayers,
    Miles & Teresa

  7. Quince,

Hey there it is Uncle Chad. I saw this quote (at the bottom of my post) and thought of you. Well....it seems as though everything we see and hear (that is positive and encouraging) reminds of you and how impressed we are with your positive attitude and great strength. You are definitely changing/influencing more people than you can ever imagine. Your audacity, courage, determination, and disposition is greater than that I have witnessed, even from most adults. I want you to know that we have NO DOUBT you will not only walk, but you will jump, hop, skip, bound, leap, hike, trek, dash, dance, march, run, flip, swim, spin, whirl, shoot, soar, and even fly!!!! We love you and want you to also know that there is not a minute that goes by when you are not on our hearts and minds. I feel confident in saying that the same holds true for everyone in our family and community. We have an unbelievably strong family and it is incredible to witness their love and support. Don’t ever think we have forgotten or given up!! Always remain positive, encouraged, and edified… Stay in agreement with us and have no doubt that you will be set free, made whole, and delivered from this. Take care and enjoy this weekend with you family!! Tell your Mom hello and let her know she is constantly being thought of, prayed for, and lifted up and as well.

"What gives me the most hope every day is God’s grace; knowing that his grace is going to give me the strength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God".

    Author: Rick Warren

  10. Hi there Quincey & Michelle & everyone.

I am so happy that you're up and doing more therapy. I can almost see your smile from here!

The games tonight against Delta were awesome. Girls JV lost by 4 points...they played hard & good. Boys JV rocked...62 to 26 or something close to it. Girls Varsity won as well! It was an awesome game. 45 to 37 was the score. I have pictures if you'd like me to e-mail them. Our addy is martinstinker@msn.com or I can load them up into photobucket again for posting here. Whatever y'all want. It was an exciting game. :)

And boys Varsity lost by 11 points I think. Dang it. It was exciting also. It was closer than the 11 point difference makes it sound.

It warmed my soul to see so many folks walking around with their Quincey Strong bracelets. I gave 1 of mine to a JV player who severely sprained her ankle. She already had one bracelet...but she needed more strength. ;)

Shurre, I'm sorry to hear about Jimmy's lay off. Worries me for all of us. My prayers are with you as well.

Where there's God, there's hope. If there's anything I can do to help, feel free to e-mail me too.

I hope you have as good a weekend as possible.

    God bless~Lisa
