Good Evening

I have not had a chance to speak with Shane or Michele this evening. There are gonna be days that we won't connect but I will do my absolute best to keep everyone up to speed!

Here's some scripture and please please please keep sending comments. I know that they are very important to them.

"But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, 'The Lord is great"! Psalm 40:16

"This is what the Lord says: It is not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in the way..." Zechariah 4:6-7

In God's Love,

Shari

  5. Hi Quincey - It is lightly snowing here (10 PM Monday) which probably sounds very foreign in Miami. We want you to know that you are in our thoughts, in our hearts and in our prayers. Remember that with God all things are possible - even the impossible is no challenge for God. Keep your eyes on Him, so that the cares of this world fade away. He will never leave you or forsake you.

  6. Hi guys - I'm still praying that you feel God's constant presence. I read something from David Wilkerson's recent letter and thought it might help bring you a bit of joy. His entire letter was based on Acts 3:6, you know the story, but think about the verse...."such as I have, I give to you". Peter and John had nothing to give that day but the Word of God and their faith. Quincey, Shane, and Michele, you all three have already blessed me. You are so strong, and you are proving it right now. Wilkerson said, and I quote him, "Beloved children of God, you can help others, even in your own horrendous affliction. Try speaking of God's goodness. Speak hope out of your pain. Speak faith even when you feel helpless." He is right. Your current ability to bless God and others by being a prayer warrior (when you're taking a break from therapy, that is!) is tremendous right now. Just think of all the friends, situations in the world, pastors, churches, the list goes on, that could be touched/changed because of your willingness and ability to pray from for them, even in your affliction right now. In his letter, Wilkerson also used 2 Corinthians 8 which talks about Christians in Macedonia who were in "great trials of affliction," yet they gave of themselves "beyond their power" - they gave of themselves to the Lord, and as they did, others were blessed. They, too, had only their faith to offer. Those blessings bounced back to them. Know that you are blessing me. And use those available moments as Wilkerson suggests. I hope it will bring blessing to you. My prayers are continual, and I love you all.

  7. Quincey,
Much love goes to you from the person who taught you how to roll burritos! Girl, we have been praying for you so much. I am always amazed at the peace I always feel when doing so. You are certainly resting in the Father's arms. Psalm 91:4 says, "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge." My kids wanted me to pass along a big hug and tell you to start thinking about selecting your pig for 4H this year. I will pray for patience for you. I know it must be tough to wait so long, while being poked and prodded. Makes one wonder what He is preparing you for.... Hang in there! I can't wait to see your smile again. You know, rolling burritos would be great therapy! Come home and I'll help you. ha. Lisa Schultz

  8. Dearest Quincey,

Last few evenings there have been beautiful sunsets. Each one I see makes me think of you. I'm not sure what the message is supposed to be, but I feel this quiet serenity and joyous heart as I watch the sun go down. The brillant yellows, oranges, reds, and pink give me hope of a new tomorrow and better things to come. Keep strong, don't hassle your mom and dad too much and we will see you soon.

    Hey Michele and Shane,

I hope you are taking care of youselves. I know how hard it can be when you have a child that needs all of your attention. If there is anything you need, please feel free to ask.
