UPDATE UPDATE

Good Evening! I just spoke to Michele. Quincey has been regaining more sensation. Quincey will begin a new physical therapy regime next week. They have added several more therapy sessions.

Quincey is getting to visit with all of her sisters and immediate family this weekend. She's really enjoying it.

They wanted to thank you all again for all of the text messages, prayers and comments. They can feel the prayers working. They requested that we continue to pray for complete restoration.

There are alot of teenagers who are patients of Craig right now. Quincey has been able to interact with them which has been good for everyone involved. Can you imagine a better witness to the power of our Lord than Quincey? I sure can't.

"For I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength I need." Philippians 4:13

"We are the children of God." Roman 8:16

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee." Jeremiah 33:3

God bless you all,

Last nights update - tonight...sorry

I am so so sorry. I spoke with Michele last night but things got crazy! Quincey had a great day yesterday. She enjoyed a visit with family.

Quincey is working very hard in therapy. This is the hardest work she's ever done and the victory there will pale compared to any basketball victory! She is keeping an eye on the prize. She is making alot of friends and these relationships will last forever.

Quincey continues to keep a smile on her face. Her smile is something that everyone expects to see! Her years of basketball have helped her muscle strength.

They have a couple of prayer requests: Robin (Quincey's roommate), Jackie from South Dakota (her parents are Chad and Debbie), and Aubrey from Nebraska (her parents are Thane and JR).

Quincey received a large number of texts over the last couple of days (thank you and lets keep her inbox full!) They read the comments every day as well (so lets keep them coming too!)

They love and miss you all!

"I love you Lord; you are my strength." Psalm 18:1

"The Lord is righteous in everything he does; He is filled with Kindness." Psalm 145:17

I am sorry again that I didn't get this posted last night. I promise to be better in the future!

God's blessings and love to you all,

Shari

Quincey's strength!

Good evening! I just spoke with Michele. Quincey is doing really well. She is always in good spirits. Her appetite is getting better. She is up on an average of 8 to 10 hours per day.

Quincey has been staying very very busy with therapy but she misses you all. All of her therapists are very impressed with her strength!

Quincey misses getting texts from everyone! (OK all.... lets fill up her text message inbox!!)

"Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord." 2Peter 1:2

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the woman who takes refuge in Him."
Psalm 34:8

God's blessings and love to you all,

No Update but check out the poem!

Good evening friends! I have not been in touch with anyone this evening but I just found this poem today. It was written by my Great Aunt (Neva Johnson). It was on the back of her memorial service program. I think it is WONDERFUL and again caused me a WOW moment! Most of things my Aunt Neva wrote causes me WOW moments!!

A Care Prayer
written by Neva Johnson
I just want you to know that I care about you.
There's a prayer in my heart that won't leave.
As I ask God for so many blessings for you.
Ones only through Him you receive.
He may not always send sunshine to you,
But flowers won't bloom without rain,
And we know life's a mixture of numerous things:
Laughter, trials, teardrops and pain.
Yet the prayer that I pray will see you through,
Whatever comes your way.
For I ask God to always walk with you
Hand in hand each day.
I just wanted to share this poem with you all. Our God is awesome and will see us through whatever the trials!
I will post more as soon as I know anything.
Praying that God will walk with you each day,
Shari

Good Evening!

Hello everyone! I spoke with Michele this morning. I apologize that it took me so long to get this posted. (I had to run to Glenwood Springs to pick out colors for our new home!)

Quincey is working hard! They had their first "team" meeting on Friday. She is currently a member of several teams but I'm sure that the Lady Bears will always be #1 with her!

Quincey continues to have a very positive attitude! She is such an inspiration to people (including my husband - who after a year and 1/2 has started going back to therapy!! Anyway, enough about my family!)

Michele and Quincey are still encouraged and appreciative of your thoughts and prayers.

They love you all and miss you.

"Lord, you have brought light to my life; my God, you light up my darkness." Psalm 18:28

Scott (my husband) chose this scripture tonight:

"Bless the Lord, who is my rock. He gives me strength for war and skill for battle." Psalm 144:1

Here's wishing peace, joy and love to you all,

Missed Connecting!

Good evening. I was unable to connect with anyone again today. Hopefully tomorrow!

Here are some scriptures that I wanted to pass on...(again, I probably already posted some of these but I had a WOW moment when I read them....)

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, the plumb line in the hand. For the eyes of the Lord search all around the world." Zechariah 4:10

"Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God above, who created all heaven's lights." James 1:17

"I wait for the Lord my soul waits and in his word I put my hope." Psalm 130:5

Blessings and love to you all,

Shari

Thinking, Praying and Hoping!

I'm sorry I didn't post anything last night. Another one of those nights were I was unable to connect with anyone. (Gonna happen from time to time!)

I know you are all still thinking, praying and hoping for Quincey's complete restoration so I realize that I don't need to remind you all....

I have a request.....let's fill up the comments, her text inbox and her mail box with our written words and love! Let's keep 'em busy this weekend! From experience, weekends are the hardest at Craig because there is no structured therapy....now we all know that Quincey will be working hard on her own but I think if we can keep them busy reading our love for them it will make Monday come that much faster?!?!?

Italic
I will post as soon as I hear from them!

I know that I probably have already posted some of these scriptures but I am gonna re-post ones that make me say WOW!!

"Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee." Jeremiah 33:3

Wishing God's blessings for you all......

Focused...Determined....Encouraged

Good evening. Quincey had another good day. She got to go outside again. She is extremely focused in her therapy sessions! Working hard!

Quincey loves all of the cards and comments that are coming! She has been encouraged and uplifted by them all. She also has her cell phone there and enjoys the text messages that she has received as well. She misses you all and loves to hear from you! (by whatever means you use) Therapy sessions have been keeping her extremely busy (which is what we need her to be right now) so she will probably not be responding at this time BUT....please keep in touch!

"I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:4

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the woman who takes refuge in Him." Psalm 34:8

"I wait for the Lord my soul waits and in His word I put my hope." Psalm 130:5

Guess I'm in a Psalms kinda mood....

Hope, Faith and Love to you all.....

Shari

Late Update!

Sorry its so late. I spoke to Kathy this evening and then didn't get a chance to update until just now.

Quincey was up for 9 1/2 hours yesterday. I am unsure of the hours that she was up today but I do know that she got to go outside today. It was 71 degrees in Denver today! Sounds heavenly!!

Every evening the family reads via speaker phone. MacKenzey reads the daily devotionals. Then Michele reads a chapter to everyone from "90 Minutes in Heaven". This family time is something they all look forward to. (Makes me wonder why I don't make time to spend with my kids when we are all in the same room! What an inspiration this family has been to me!)

"This is what the Lord says: It is not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in the way...." Zechariah 4:6-7

"By faith, because of Jesus.. we can rejoice when we run into problems and trials, for we know they are good for us - they help us learn to endure." Romans 5:1,3

Awesome Day - Awesome Therapy

Hello Quincey's friends and family.....

Today Quincey had another great day in therapy. Quincey had a great attitude again today. (I know where Quincey gets her strength and attitude but it amazes me all the same! Isn't God's power awesome!)

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

"Faith is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see. God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith." Hebrews 11:1-2

Wishing you faith, love and happiness.....

Another Awesome Day

Today Quincey had another awesome day. They had family in and out again.

She is anxious to begin another week of therapy tomorrow.

They wish to thank you all again for your continued support, love and prayers.

Weekends are kind of quiet at Craig because there are no scheduled therapy sessions. I will update tomorrow as soon as I hear anything.

"I wait for the Lord my soul waits and in his word I put my hope." Psalm 130:5

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." James 1:12

Awesome!

They had a great day today....lots of family in and out. Quincey was up and mobile for several hours. The smile never left her face.

Quincey was humbled by the article in the Post Independent and the support of the community, family and friends.

Progress continues and its amazing to witness.

Quincey would like to ask for prayers for Salbatore Vanni, four years old, son of Dr. Vanni (Quincey's neurosurgeon in Miami). He has Stage 4 neuroblastoma and he is so precious. Also, Zach, 15 years old, who is a new patient at Craig. His family is from California, his dad is Brad and his mom is Darcy. They do not have any family in Colorado.

Tonight the scriptures were chosen by Danika (my eight year old daughter) and Sabree (my eight year old niece) for Quincey's restoration.

Danika's choice is as follows "Always be full of joy in the Lord...Don't worry...; instead, pray... Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this you will experience God's peace, wonderfully beyond understanding. His peace will guard your hearts and your minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4,6,7

Sabree's choice is as follows "...I have learned how to get along happily... whether I have much or little. ...I have learned the secret of living... with plenty or little. For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. Philippians 4:12-13

Peace and blessings to you all,

Shari

2nd Day of Therapy

Hello everyone,

Quincey had another awesome day. Her 2nd day of therapy went well. She is tired again tonight but, again, its a good tired.

She was up today for 6 hours. She also got to go outside for an hour today. She was able to go over and see the apartment where her parents are staying. My understanding is that she really enjoyed being outside. Who wouldn't...we live in COLORADO!

The movement in her arms appears to be getting stronger (WAHOO!) again...baby steps baby steps. Every step is a step forward - Praise God!

The immediate family really enjoyed being together this evening. They read aloud from a book that is very meaningful to them (I will ask again what the title is....I forgot....sorry!) I am going to put a personal note here.....this family amazes me! The faith that they have is contagious! It makes me want to be a better and stronger person! okay....enough about how I'm feelin...this blog is about Quincey!

They love and appreciate everyone and miss you all.

I will update again tomorrow.

God is good....here's wishing God's blessings for each of you.

"Although he [Jesus] died on the cross in weakness, he now lives by the mighty power of God. We, too, are weak but we live in him and have God's power..." 2Corinthians 13:4

A Really Good Day

Quincey had a really good day today. She was up for 4 or 5 hours and she started therapy today. She was tired this evening but it was a good tired!

Quincey's upper arms are very strong. She will have two sessions of therapy tomorrow .... and so it begins! These will probably be the hardest workouts of her life but they are also gonna be the most important!

They had family visiting today and enjoyed the time with them. They are very glad to be back in Colorado.

They have met alot of families during their short time at Craig. Michele told me that she knows that God's timing is perfect and that they are where they are supposed to be at the time that they are supposed to be there! (What an amazing family they are....that's why we all love them!)

They have such amazing faith and knowledge that God is their rock and they can do all things through God! What a testimony!

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?" Psalm 27:1

"Can anything ever seperate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity...? No, despite all these things overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. ...Nothing can ever seperate us from his love. ... the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39

"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" Psalm 8:1

Wishing safety, peace, and blessings for you all,

Good Evening

Hello everyone. I just talked to Kathy. Quincey had a good day today. She sat up today for 4 hours. She was able to wear shorts and a tshirt today. YAHOO!

Quincey will begin physical and occupational therapies tomorrow. She is probably anxious to get the workouts started...knowing Quincey the way everyone does! She has never shied away from hard work!

They are still really enjoying the comments everyone has been sending so lets keep it up until Quincey can start getting visitors or she comes home!

"But now take courage, says the Lord. Take courage....take courage all you people. Take courage and work, for I am with you, says the Lord Almighty. My spirit remains among you....so do not be afraid." Haggai 2:4-5

"Faith is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see. God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith." Hebrews 11:1-2

Tomorrow is going to be a long day for Shane, Michele and Quincey but I will update as soon as I know anything.

Peace and blessings to you all,

Shari

THE LATEST AND GREATEST NEWS!! (so far....)

Quincey was moved to Craig Rehab Hospital in Englewood yesterday. The move went as well as could be expected. She was exhausted last night but in very good spirits.

I know that everyone is excited to see Quincey, Shane and Michele but visits to Craig right now are limited to immediate family only. I do not know when everyone will be able to visit but I will let the blog know as soon as I know anything!! (Quincey will be very very very busy with her therapy sessions and she will be exhausted.)

Everyone is excited to be "home" in Colorado and can not wait to start receiving cards and letters from you all. They still absolutely love to hear the comments that you all have been posting so please continue. They print them out every morning! I will continue the blog until Quincey is fully restored!

Here is Quincey's address at Craig:

Good Evening

I have not had a chance to speak with Shane or Michele this evening. There are gonna be days that we won't connect but I will do my absolute best to keep everyone up to speed!

Here's some scripture and please please please keep sending comments. I know that they are very important to them.

"But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, 'The Lord is great"! Psalm 40:16

"This is what the Lord says: It is not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in the way..." Zechariah 4:6-7

Quick Update

I just spoke with Michele. Quincey got to go outside today in the sunshine. The sunshine must have felt awesome!

They had visitors all morning. The visitors were people who live in the Miami area and have heard about Quincey through a prayer chain. They were very uplifting and encouraging to Quincey. They were also able to meet their "roommates" from the next room and their pastors. "Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is useless. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good." Psalm 127:1 What a house and city that the Lord is building and protecting through Quincey. They truly feel that they were meant to meet all of these people today. God has a good plan for how this is to play out. God is good!

Michele wants to thank everyone for their continuing prayers, support and encouragement through this time and beyond. God is sustaining and making the "impossible" possible. "O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.... Your strong right hand is filled with victory..... For that is what God is like. He is our God forever and ever, and he will be our guide until we die." Psalm 48:9,10,14

I will update more as soon as I hear more!

God's blessings and peace be with you,

Shari

Good Evening -

OOPS! Sorry. I was getting pretty confident in my abilities to blog....guess that serves me right, huh?!? Anyway......

I got a text message from Florida this evening. Quincey wants to once again say "Go Lady Bears". She was very happy about last nights win.

They want to send their love to everyone here. They are anxiously awaiting the day they can get out of Florida and back to Colorado.

They appreciate the comments and prayers.

I will update as soon as I have more information, but I do not expect to hear from them until tomorrow sometime.

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love." 1Corinthians 16:13-14

Tonight I pray that Shane, Michele and Quincey can feel the love and support that we are all sending their way. I continue to pray for Quincey's complete restoration.

"Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord." 2Peter 1:2

God's blessing and love to you all,

Shari

GO RIFLE LADY BEARS!

I received a message from Michele today (I gotta remember to take my cell phone off of vibe!!)

Quincey is hoping that the Rifle Lady Bears put the boots to the Palisade Bulldogs tonight. She can't wait to be back in action with her fellow Bears. I know we can't wait for that day as well.

Quincey had a good day today, her appetite is good, there were no breathing issues and her blood pressure seems to be stabilized today as well.

The verse that Michele, Shane and Quincey requested to be on the blog is as follows...."What is impossible with men is possible with God." Luke 18:27

They are still hoping to be moving Quincey to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Denver soon. They are so anxious to be back in Colorado.

Quincey wants everyone to know how much she loves you and misses you. Please keep sending comments - Shane and Michele read them to her everyday.

Wishing God's blessings for you all,

Shari

"Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:14

Good Morning!

Good Morning! I just spoke with Michele. Quincey had one of her best nights of rest last night!! Quincey's appetite is still good and she is maintaining her strength (spiritually and physically).

Shane and Michele are getting "as much rest as a parent can get with a child hurting". Michele wanted me to tell everyone that the prayers for them all are sustaining them right now. There is no greater power or comfort than God!

They are anxiously awaiting the word as to when they will get to bring her to Colorado. They will let us know as soon as they have a date for the next step in this journey.

They want everyone to know that the comments on the blog have been so awesome to read! Keep 'em comin!

As Jesus said in John 16:33 ..."have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But, take heart, because I have overcome the world."

In God's Love,

QUINCEY'S OUT OF ICU!!

Hello - I have great news tonight! Quincey is out of ICU tonight! She was moved to a private suite - "swanky" is what Shane told his mom! When they moved Quincey all of the ICU staff was happy for her but they were sad to see her go. They all promised to come see her in her new room as soon as they can. What an impact she is having down there. Miami will never be the same!

Quincey sat up for 4 hours today. She told her parents that she would sit up all night if it meant she could get out of there!

Quincey's appetite is returning. (She's even eating her Mom and Dad's food!)

Quincey is having such a positive effect on everyone she comes in contact with. She has a head nurse who is quite stern and has a "military" type personality. Quincey has even softened her heart. The other nurses are absolutely amazed at the effect Quincey has had on her.

Quincey's therapist is a believer and believes in the power of healing. When she looks into Quincey's eyes she sees the belief that Quincey has.

They are waiting for a room in Colorado! Hopefully, it will be soon.

"He that dwelleth in LOVE dwelleth in God." 1John 4:16

God is amazing and good! Here's hoping that God's blessing are with you tonight!

In God's love,

Shari

New Information

Good evening. I'm sorry it took me so long to get an update to you all but I had to go back to work today.

Anyway, I just spoke with Michele about an hour ago. Quincey's oxygen levels today were a little low but with increased breathing treatments the issue seems to be resolving. I don't think that it is something to be overly concerned about but let's pray for her breathing.

Shane and Michele were able to get into the Ronald McDonald house last night...WAHOO! The house is a 5 minute walk from the hospital!

Michele said that tomorrow Quincey should hopefully be moved out of ICU.

She also said that because of the length of time it seems to be taking to receive mail down there, please hold any cards or letters until they return to Colorado. Quincey is enjoying the blog and the comments so please keep them coming. As soon as I know they are transferring her, I will update the blog with all relevant addresses.

They love each and every one of you and appreciate the prayers and good thoughts.

A Message from Michele and Quincey

Hello. I spoke to Michele this afternoon (around 2 pm - sorry its taken me so long to get this posted).

Quincey had an emotional and challenging morning BUT Quincey got through it with her usual
determination. There are gonna be days that are harder than others but by the same token there are gonna be days that are gonna be AWESOME!!

Quincey felt more touch sensations today on her arms and legs whereas she had been feeling pressure before. 80% of the time today she was able to identify exactly where she was being touched! YAHOO!

They met a family at the hospital that their son was on his honeymoon in Mexico and on December 2nd, on the same exact beach he suffered the same exact injury as Quincey. Quincey asked that I mention them in the blog. She is requesting prayers for their family as well. Their names are Alfred and Michelle, Michele does not know their last name but God does.
I have a message from Quincey herself...."I'll be in Colorado soon. Keep praying for total restoration and keep blogging. I love the messages and scriptures!"

Tonight the scripture is from Quincey. They have been reading the bible and pick a scripture for the day. I can not think of a better scripture to put on the blog this evening than the one that is sustaining our friends in Florida!

"...let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1

What an amazing young woman and family!

God's love, peace and blessings to you all,

Shari

Good Morning!

Good morning! I just spoke with Michele. Not alot of new information but she wants everyone to know that Quincey's attitude is very positive. Quincey got as much rest last night as possible in a hospital. Michele sounded really good this morning!

Michele goes to a computer in the hospital and prints off all of the comments from the blog. Quincey is really enjoying hearing them all. Keep 'em comin'!

That's all of the news that I have right now but I will send more as soon as I hear it!

"By faith, because of Jesus... we can rejoice when we run into problems and trials, for we know they are good for us - they help us learn to endure." Romans 5:1,3

I know that people have been asking what they can do for Quincey and the family. For anyone interested, there has been an account set up for Quincey at Alpine Bank. Deposits may be made at any Alpine Bank.

Positive thoughts and prayers for you all,

Shari

Nightly Update!

Good evening friends! I just spoke with Kathy (Shane's mom) and Quincey had a rough afternoon. These days are to be expected but it sure doesn't make them any easier.

Shane and Michele were able to wash Quincey's hair today and it exhausted her but I'm sure it felt fantastic! She requested chap stick to be placed in her hand, although she was unable to put it on herself, the effort was a huge milestone. Baby steps....Baby steps!!

Quincey had the opportunity to talk to Lyndsey, Dillon, MacKenzey, Riley, Aunt Tara, and Uncle Chad this afternoon. Quincey also spoke with her Grandma Kathy and Howdy (Shane's only son) this morning. Speaking with family sure has a positive effect!

Please continue to pray for Quincey's full restoration, but I am also requesting tonight that prayers be said for the girls (MacKenzey and Riley) as they will be coming home from their vacation tomorrow and the full impact may hit them. Also, please continue to pray for Shane and Michele's strength as this journey is underway.

Shane has been quoting John 14:12-14, therefore that is one of the scriptures I will put on tonight.

" I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

"Give all your cares and worries to God, for he cares about what happens to you." 1Peter 5:7

In God's love,

Shari

Morning Blessings!

Good morning. I haven't spoken with Shane and Michele yet this morning but I wanted to share a bible verse this morning. I will update as soon as I hear from them today!

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee." Jeremiah 33:3

Blessings and Peace,

Shari

New Info

Good Evening! I spoke to Michele a little while ago. Quincey had a good day. She worked really hard and is really tired. But as Michele said "It's a good tired!" She continues to get strength in her arms and there was more sensation in her legs!!

I asked how Shane and Michele were doing and Michele said "when Quincey has a good day, we have a good day!" So they had a good day today as well!

Last night Michele stayed with Quincey all night so tonight Shane will be staying with her. Hopefully, they will all be able to rest.

Michele asked Quincey if there was anything she wanted to add to the blog and I could hear Quincey in the background. She asked everyone to continue to pray for her complete restoration. And she wanted to let everyone know that she loves you! Although I didn't speak to her, it was still great to hear her voice in the background!!

I was reading the comments on the blog and WOW! What an amazing group of friends and family Quincey, Shane and Michele have! Guess it just goes to show what amazing people Shane, Michele and Quincey are, don't it!!

Well, the journey will be long but the bible is big......

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." James 1:12

Blessings and Peace to you all,

Shari

Blessings!

Good evening friends!

I just got off of the phone with Michele. Quincey had an awesome day today! She had more strength in her arms and she could feel more touch sensations. She sat up and ate today! Giant baby steps! As Jesus said in Mark 9: 23 "...Everything is possible for him who believes."

They seem to be having a little bit of a hard time regulating Quincey's blood pressure (which from my experience is really not that unusual but let's please pray about it!)

Michele said that her and Shane got some rest last night (thank you Jesus!!). I believe they are on their way right now to try to rest tonight. Their spirits seem great tonight! Again, they want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

They are looking forward to the day that they can come home to Colorado! Shane, Michele and Quincey, if I may speak for everyone, we are anxiously awaiting that time as well!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105

I do not expect to hear from them again this evening so I will send updates as soon as I hear from them again!

May God's love and blessings shine down on you all.

Prayer Request

Hello everyone! I spoke with Shane's mom this morning and the newest prayer request is for Quincey's physical strength. Quincey's strength is relatively low right now. As can only be expected with this long journey!

Keep checkin' in.....I will be updating the blog as soon as I hear more information!

"Do not throw away your confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36

In God's love,

Shari

Quincey, Shane and Michele, I greatly admire you and your strength. I know that the road looks rocky right now but you guys are so strong. When you feel discouraged, remember we are all here to bolster you and although we can not be there physically - you have a large number of people who are with you spiritually!

"But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, 'The Lord is great!'" Psalm 40:16

Good Morning

Good Morning! I received a message from Michele this morning. She sounds tired but good. They had not been in to see Quincey yet this morning but she wants everyone to know what an amazing young woman Quincey is (comes from her parents I would say!!) They see small miracles every day! Baby steps...baby steps!

Quincey's verse she is living by right now is "walk by faith not by sight" 2Corinthians 5:7. WOW! We can all live by those words! Quincey has never faltered that she will recover fully!

Michele wanted to let everyone know that they are receiving and appreciate all messages (text and voice) but they are not able to return them all. They check the blog as well and take all of the comments and messages in with them to see Quincey. Their strength is coming from knowing that people are praying and thinking about them! You are all in their thoughts and prayers as well.

The power of prayer is an amazing thing! Please continue to pray for Quincey's restoration and Shane and Michele's strength!

"Always be full of joy in the Lord....Don't worry...; instead pray...Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this you will experience God's peace, wonderfully beyond understanding. His peace will guard your hearts and your minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4,6,7

Just a quick note....

I was hoping to be able to get an update to you all this evening but Shane and Michele are getting a chance to REST!!! Praise the Lord! Their rest is very important for their strength and restoration. I pray, dear Lord that Shane, Michele and Quincey get the healing powers of rest tonight. Please watch over them and let them feel the love that is coming their way. Amen.

I look forward to speaking with Shane and Michele in the morning! Quincey is in good hands (both medically and most especially spiritually!!)

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

New Year - New Update

I just spoke with Shane this morning. Quincey was in a ct scan to check how successful surgery was. Quincey slept peacefully last night. Shane says she is very tired today. After a long surgery, that is to be expected.

Shane and Michele appreciate all of our prayers and good thoughts that are going their way. I will be talking to Shane and/or Michele throughout the coming days and will update this blog as soon as I have new information. I waited to start the blog until I had talked to Shane.

The coming days are going to be full of baby steps in recovery that will seem like giant steps to those involved. Shane told me today that Quincey has moved a foot!

You can all post messages on this blog. Shane, Michele and Quincey will be checking the blog when they get a free moment.

"The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:27

For those of you who do not know who I am, my husband was injured 6 years ago. While Scott was in the hospital, my uncle sent bible verses to us in the hospital every day. What a joy and comfort they were. Not only to us but to other patients as well.

I will be posting bible verses daily even if there is not an update. If any of you have a bible verse that is especially meaningful to you, please post them in a message.

In God's love,

Shari
