Awesome Days and Huge Milestones

Good Evening (actually good AM)! I spoke to Michele today (yesterday?) and Quincey has been having some awesome days! Every day seems to be better than the day before!

Quincey was able to use a therapy bike yesterday - HUGE milestone! Quincey did very well and everyone is very impressed with what she was able to accomplish. Therapy bikes are not like a stationary or exercise bike and there are alot of other things that are necessary for them to be successful but as I said before this is a HUGE milestone!

Quincey has never known the word "quit" and she works towards her goal of complete restoration EVERY day. Her attitude has always been positive and will, no doubt, continue to be! If Quincey can stay positive and focused, then there is no room for negative energy of any sort from anyone else!

This is the hardest work (physically, spiritually and emotionally) that Quincey has ever done but results are already being achieved! This is not a sprint but a marathon! Quincey is up for the race!

"This is what the Lord says: It is not be force, nor by strength, but by my spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in the way..." Zechariah 4:6-7

Throughout this ordeal, Quincey has been an inspiration to everyone she meets! What an amazing young woman!

Blessings and peace for you all,

Shari

  2. Good Morning Quincey!!

What a beautiful day it is going to be, the skies are blue and the air is calm!! I love mornings like this. Everything is still, quiet and peaceful, very shortly the hustle and bustle of our day will begin.

I am so proud of you and hard you are working. What a HUGE milestone that was for you yesterday. There will be the hard days that can be emotionally draining, but the days like yesterday are the ones that you can draw strength and hope from!!! The strength, hope, faith and determination you have will carry you past the hard days and on to more days like you had yesterday.

You are ALWAYS in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong and keep working for more days like yesterday!! Way to go Quincey!!!!

    We love ya girl,

    Lisa

  3. Hi Buddy,
I am so proud of you! Makerah and I had to do another chinese firedrill, but she made me do it before we got to the school parking lot. I think she may be a little embarrassed of her mom too - Oh well, someone has to be the crazy one and right now, I qualify hands down!!
Although, Uncle Trent could be a close second place. He could get pretty crazy if we don't keep him in line! You do have to make sure you do what he said with the tobacco though, except without the real thing; that probably wouldn't agree very good with your workout schedule or appetite. You will come to enjoy the feeling of spitting in his eye with every mountain you cross!
You know, there are some really GREAT B-days coming up in the next week!! AND that would be a good time to surprise all three of us with that phone call to meet you at the ice cream shop. We could eat an ice cream B-day cake, then go over the pass (we probably wouldn't need the Z-bars in your camelback if that was the case!). I would have to say, there would not be a single gift to top that one!!!!!! Lyndsey could even bring Trigger in a stoler.
Kick butt in therapy today - and I am keeping track of how many miles you are doing on the bike so go like a mad woman!! I love you buddy and know that when you are weak, He is strong! You do what you can, and God will do the rest!!!! The miraculous is coming soon!! Lots of love,
    Aunt Tara
P.S. I love you too Aunt Michele - keep up the encouragement and thanks for being such a GREAT mom for Quincey!! You ROCK!!!

  4. Here is K-love's encouraging Word for the day:
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

  6. You know what I just realized? You and Makerah's 4-H lamb, "Frank", have a lot in common! It took a miracle from God for him to make weight for fair, so we layed hands on him everyday when we fed him and prayed for supernatural hunger and weight gain. He made weight! In fact, he was 8 pounds over what he had to weigh - God even cares about a 4-H lamb! So, we will be praying for you the same way we prayed for Frank and if God cares about him, can you immagine how much more He cares about YOU!!!? So get ready for feeding time because you are going to want to eat everything in sight!! Ha, Ha. Bring-on the pounds (all muscle of course!) Love you tons (ha, ha, get it: "tons", weight. Oh, never mind)!

  7. Tara your funny!!! Miss seeing you though hope you and the girls and Chad are all good.. Mom was telling me about all the mountians you have already climbed in the last couple of weeks since we have seen you, It's that Quincey power, you are amazing girl.. Keep up the good work, you'll be hitting the floor running soon we all know it.. Crysta lost her game agian last night, 21 to 34. She was mad she didn't make any baskets but she played really well.. A team won like the last couple of games 28 to 8 I think, but I know thats not right.. They played a good game agianst Glenwood though.. Couple of the girls wasn't very nice A team or B team.. Crysta said the one girl kept elbowing her in the gut.. She said she wanted to punch her.. I've never seen Crysta get that mad at anyone else but Brian and Devon.. And well me of course!! But hey I'm her mom I'm suppose to make her mad right.. Speaking of moms I think you have a pretty cool one too.. I know you did awsome in therapy agian today so love ya bunches, miss you lots, hope to see you soon sunshine.. Shurre

  8. Hi buddy! I guess I miss you more than I realize!! I was watching the end of the 700 Club and the verse for the day is II Kings 20:5 which reads; Thus says the Lord, the God of David your forefather: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you.
WOW! Is that awesome or what! This is the old testament, before Jesus died on the cross! Boy, that makes me want to run around the block about 200 times!!! Love you Buddy - IT IS COMING SOON!!!!!!!!

  9. Hey Quincy!
I con't to pray for you - I do expect to see you 'at it' again!

Reading your families comments.... almost makes me want to take up chewing tobacco! (I did say 'almost'!) I decided that thinking of the devil and spitting might be a better idea than making myself sick and doing more than just spitting!

I'm thinkin' that your aunt might have something with her chinese firedrills.... maybe we should all plan to do one at a specific time on the same day! Now that would be cool!

    Hang in there!~kc

  10. Hi Quincey - We are back among the healthy after having a stomach virus that does not want to let go. Skip talked with your dad last week and he caught us up on your progress and you just amaze us with your tenacity and grit. Keep it up! Love to you and your mom. Suzanne and Skip
