Good Evening!

Good evening. I received an email from Michele on Saturday. I sincerely apologize to you all for the delay. The ongoing moving saga continues. My family still has not been able to move into our new home (inspections are not going well). We have been able to move stuff in but we aren't allowed to stay there yet. Unfortunately, my modem was taken to the new house and I just got it hooked back up at the old house today. And on top of all of that drama, my husband got pneumonia. Scary stuff but he is doing much better now. Anyway...again I apologize.

Quincey had a very busy week last week with therapies everyday but all the hard work is paying off. She can stand flat footed without assistance or weight in the shallow end of the pool while next to the edge. When she is in the deeper water, she requires minimal assistance from the PT's to keep her balance and remain standing. Her legs are getting stronger and stronger. They are removing the stim on the FES from her quads and putting them on her calves. Her quads are so strong that she doesn't need them on that muscle group anymore!! She has also been using a manual wheelchair that she can move with her legs and her feet. This wears her out very quickly BUT she can do it! Praise the Lord! Since they are seeing consistent movement in her left wrist, left fingers and thumb, and right fingers they are doing E-stim to help those areas to become stronger also. They are truly seeing Gods promises fulfilled in her each day. That is for complete and total restoration of her body. As it was ...and better than before the accident. She knows it is His will to heal not if it is His will. Mark 11:22-24

They have also been moved to out-patient status. That is a good thing. She requires no medical assistance that would require hospitalization. It is all rehab from here on out. Praise the Lord! So mail from now on scratch room #332 and in its place put Apt. 409.

"To all the prayer warriors, thank you for standing in the gap for us. Bless each of you. Friends and family thank you for not forgetting about us. We love and appreciate each of you. Bless each of you. In Christ's love, Quincey and Michele

Shari

  1. Hi Quincey,
Just read the new post, sound like great things are happening for you.
I don't know what "stims" are , but I think I need a couple of those in my quads if your done with them. Maybe I"ll try some pool therapy also, can't hurt, (or can it)?? It seems like with all these improvements that they would want to keep you past the 15th of this month, but I don't know. I hope your back over here soon so we can tell you face to face
how glad we are to see you. Plus it's almost summer you know and you can quit "milking" this thing as soon as school is out. After May you'll want to be working a full time job, paying your taxes and getting ready for retirement. That is what the World tells us, "Let everything go, and just keep saving for retirement". Then when you get old, you find that the investment banks have bought OTC derivatives with your savings and now you won't be retiring until your 138.5 years old!!

I'm sorry, I was supposed to cheer you up, I regressed there for a minute. But I'm not bitter, I love paying my taxes. I have not seen your Dad in forever, does he still live here? Does he still have a job??
I guess I'll have to go over and talk to his mother, she is the only one that ever tells us anything. Your mother has not called me forever, she used to call and chew me out for different things, I kind of miss that..... kind of. I guess she has more important things to do than brow beat me, although she seemed to enjoy it. I look forward to when you guys get back so I can receive my "punishment" again.

I suppose you all are ready for some water skiing this summer, why heck, I think the water temp is up to 35 degrees, what are you guys waiting for??? Usually all five of you are at the lake by 5:45 am,
suited up, and skiing your little hearts out. Better hurry though, soon that water will be be an unbearable 65 degrees!!
Does Howdy water ski? I mean he is the Wonder Dog. I saw a very small ski in your garage, was that his, or Riley's?? I didn't see any little paw boots on it, must be Rileys. I don't suppose you let Howdy out on the water, he's probably not to bouyant. To much "mass" I guess. Besides if you washed all the dirt & dust out of his fur it would dirty the water so bad the fish may suffocate. You might mention to your Dad that Howdy does need a bath, it will give Shane something to do for the weekend. Well Quincey, I better get off here and get something done. We will continue to pray for you and lift you up to Jesus all the time. We are still praying and believing for a total miracle for you, nothing less. God's eyes are upon you, and His ears are open to your prayers, and He loves you, with all His heart.
We are all blessed of the Lord, (even Howdy)
We love you and are looking forward to seeing you

Because he turned his ear to me,

    "The Lord is gracious and
    righteous;
our God is full of compassion."

  4. There is no dought in my mind you and mom are giving everyone who needs it a run for there money keep up the hard work even though I know it seems ruff at times but, with you and your faith it probably just seems a little hard... I loved to here about all the things you are doing, But it makes me feel really tired if I think how hard you are working..
I do have to agree with Ken though you all are usually ready to hit the lake by now, I think you all have some really warm blood cause I think it is really to cold even in Aug. But I do remember hitting the lake a time or 2 when I was little in May, without wet suits.. All because my dad loved to water ski, we thought he was crazy then, but we still did it.. I think he is still a little crazy but I wouldn't trade him for nothing he is still the best, I don't think you could get him to go water skiing in May now though..LOL Just think it would be great therapy for you!! HA HA
If you want hypothemia!! HA HA Brians Been driving to school the last few mornings in the car, I think I'm kinda getting use to the idea but, I'm not sure... Otherwise I'm finally on my time off after working 60 days straight, I'm kinda brain dead like always and very glad to be out of that office, but it pays the bills and feeds all the kids and adults and animals so I'm very thankful for all of that, and we are all very fortunate.. Michelle thank you for putting up with all of my miss spelled words.. I went to rifle school would be a good excuse but I just don't have one.. I hope you are all well and safe we think and pray for you and your family always, full recovery all healing powers to Quincey... We really miss you all!! Love Shurre & family

Shari hang in there you will get yor COD soon and be staying there before you know it... Our prayers are with you and your family, I hope your husband is feeling better soon!!

  5. Hey Quincey. It was great to see you over break. Spoke with Phil and Marlea at the Good Friday service last night. They gave us the great news about your recent progress. Praise the Lord! Heard Shane will be there Sunday. Hope you have a Happy Resurrection Day with the family.

  6. HAPPY RESURECTION DAY SNYDER FAMILY!
    HE is risen!!

WE HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GET LOTS OF CHOCOLATE!
It is rainy in our neck of the woods and Shaye and her cousins had Easter eggs inside this year. Brooke is over with Trent trying to get her a turkey, so I haven't heard how that has went this morning yet. Yesterday they had lots of turkeys around them, but I think our hunters got a little too excited to shoot!!!

At church last night the pastor talked about this scripture a bit and it reminded me of you guys.

"The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.Great is his faithfulness;his mercies begin afresh each morning." Lamenatations 3:22-23 NLT

Quincey, I hear from your Dad you have been making some waves over there, awesome! Keep it rollin'. I know those nurses are seeing a miracle in you, I can't imagine how many people you may be leading to Christ right now by them witnessing your healing. How exciting! I know you are softening hearts and opening minds to His greatness.

Happy Easter to all of you, we love you all.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
    1 Peter 1:3

  7. Hey Quincey, Michelle and Shane,

We have been following all of your posts and are so encouraged to hear of all of your progress! I bet the therapists love how "coachable" you are. You're a dream patient I'm sure.

We hope that you had a joyful Easter, and feel renewed again with His Resurrection. Isn't it great that since Jesus suffered for us we will never ever truly know what it is to be abandoned and forsaken. What consolation it brings to know that since Jesus was forsaken by God for us, our heavenly Father will never forsake us. Hang in there kiddo and know every step of the way He is with you. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me" Psalm 23.

We can hardly wait for you to come home so that we can see you. Keep your calender open because I need a VBS assistant (or a bouncer) those second graders can be a rough crowd...especially after Koolaid and oreos.

    Keep up the hard work,
    In God's love,
    Dianne and Craig Boe
