Good morning my fellow Quincey friends! I sincerely apologize for how long its been since the blog has been updated. Michele left me a message Monday and Tuesday but I've been feeling under the weather AGAIN! Gotta kick this crud that won't leave me alone. Anyway, here's the latest.
Quincey is able to move her left thumb, left pointer finger, left toes, and right thumb on command.
Quincey had a very busy weekend. She had lots of visitors. She was able to see members fof the Lady Bears basketball team and their parents this weekend. She attended an awesome church service at Craig. As proof of God's working in mysterious ways, Quincey's room is directly above the chapel. Shane has been staying with Quincey.
As always, Quincey continues to work hard and keeps a positive attitude. Attitude is everything! Especially when its a good one!
Michele requested this scripture last night.
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
I also wanted to let everyone know that out of respect for everyone's family time, I will not be pestering them for updates over the weekends. I will try to get well and get updates posted as soon as I get them rather than several days later.
In God's love,
Shari

ReplyDeleteIt is interesting. As I get updates about you, I remember my experiences at Craig Hosp. I remember people that I have not seen or thought about for years. These memories tend to be nostalgic. God has a way of taking our trials and turning them into significant memories of value. They become profound events that shape our life and personality.
I know that your day to day experiences are filled with pain, challenges and victories. The experiences of your parents, sisters and family contain their own trials. You and your family will look back at these days and God will reveal the richness that comes from his presence in everything you do. God is with you. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think.
Take time out of your day to reflect on His grace in your life. You will do great things.
There is one significant Word I received in the hospital. I was going through a time of self-pity and depression. I felt that my significant interests and purpose was ended. God came to me and said," I will give you purpose." This has been the strength of my life. I get my value, worth and purpose from God.
God Bless. Jody
Way to go Quicney!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is so Awesome to hear how God is working in you, on you and through you!! I have no doubt that you are totally surrounded by him and now you are staying above the chapel, how cool is that!!!
I saw Tara this last week. It was GREAT to hear how GREAT you are doing!!! Her face just totally lights up when she talks about you and the progress you have made.
Between therapy, visitors and outings, it sounds like you have been keeping very busy. It is so amazing to think of how far you have come and how much you have accomplished, we are so proud of you!!
We have been keeping pretty busy here. I had surgery on my shoulder and wrist last Friday so it has slowed our ice fishing down a bit. It is an old injury that they did surgery on last year, but it never healed properly. This time, it seems as though it will be better. We are hoping the ice will still be good this weekend so we can get a couple more days in before the season is over. Tim is hoping that with my surgery he might finally have an edge on me because I have been dominating the ice this year!!!!
Keep up the GREAT work Quincey! I will have to let you know how ice fishing goes. Hopefully I can keep up my streak!!!
We Love You Girl,
Lisa

Hi Buddy,
Well, we are having fun just messing around and eating cookies! Don't tell anyone in my class because they won't show up tomorrow! They know I will work it off somehow!!!
We are so excited for the next few weeks; we all know it is near!!! Keep up the movement and smiles and remember that you were bought with a price; and it was not cheap!! This is yours, and He bought you back for this very purpose; and BOY what a purpose it is!! Your generation is waiting for the answer and you are one that has the key.
I love you and am sooooo proud of you!! Keep the FAITH! Lots of love,
Aunt Tara
Hey Quincey and Family,
ReplyDeleteWe have not sent a blog in quite a while, but we have stayed updated through the blog and Ken and Karen have shared some also. We have continuted to pray and believe for your complete restoration. Your focus and faith in God is such a blessing to us. What a testimony you already have! We wanted to share a few scriptures with you. I'm sure they have already been listed before, but God's Word is awesome over and over!
Isaiah 40:31 - but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 13 - For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you.
Keep on believing, as will we, and God will take care of the rest.
Galen and Sonya
Hi Guys!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a GREAT week. Keep up the hard work.
What a difference a week makes. Even here we went from snow covered fields to bare ground. With this incredible wind and unusual heat I was even been able to get in the yard. First chore of the season is to remove all the elk poo. Used to spread it around as fertilizer but ended up with to many weeds. Actually haven't left it on the yard since Jeremy decided to drag Jared through it once when he was mad. Jeremy got to clean it that year. He never made that mistake again!
Quincey, we are so thankful for your progress! We praise God for the strength he gives you each day. We pray for healing rain to fill your room. The Lord is with you!
"Some trust in chariots and some
in horses,
but we trust in the name of the
Lord our God." Psalms 20:7
Amen!!!!!
Love You,
Miles & Teresa
