Good evenin'! I talked to Michele earlier this evening.
Quincey no longer ineeds to wear the neck brace! PRAISE THE LORD! This is a huge milestone that is 4 1/2 weeks sooner than expected! WAHOO!!!!
Everything is going very well. Quincey continues to work hard on strength! They are looking forward to a visit from her sister and brother-in-law. They are planning on dinner and a movie on Friday.
They attended a family meeting today. There are no medical issues to be concerned about with Quincey!!
Tonight the scriptures that were requested are as follows:
"He said, 'If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you." Exodus 15:26
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." 1Peter 2:24
I finally changed my calendar to March. Its a very cute calendar with little sayings. The saying for this month seems to be appropriate! (Its something I need to keep in mind - let me tell you!!) I hope you all don't mind if I put it on the blog tonight.
There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going. -anonymous
God's blessings to you all,
Shari
PS.. For those of you who do not know my families situation, we have been living in a rental home in Rifle for the past 6 years. The home has been adequate and was an absolute "god send" at the time that we needed a home. We were accepted by Habitat for Humanity and they have been building us a home in Rifle. Long story short - we will be able to move into our new home March 23rd!!! After talking to Michele tonight, we wanted to post this information on this blog because it is a prayer that is being answered!!

Quincey,
ReplyDeleteYou are fabulous and amazing! Your strength and courage is amazing and we are glad that you get to have some fun while you're over there too! Hope the Nuggets won (or at least gave the other team a run for their money!) Mom sent us some of your bracelets. I've been sportin' mine and getting lots of questions. There are now lots of people in Minot praying and rooting for you! Have a good rest of the week and weekend...Don't for get about "springing forward" on Saturday.
xoxo

Hi Quincey,
ReplyDeleteIt's Thursday AM and I suppose by now your Dad is back in Rifle, working like a dog to keep your Mom in the "lap of luxury" that she has become accustomed to. We sure enjoyed seeing Michelle and the two Tasmanian she devils the other day. Mackey regaled us with all the news, she's such a card. Karen and I were going to see if we could take those two to Chuckie Cheese with our grandkids, to help us celebrate something. Our grandkids are after us to do that.
But Howdy is not invited! Besides, he doesn't need any pizza, it will all go to his hips.
We'll let you know how that goes. You need to make the staff over there feed your Mom something, I think she must have lost 50 pounds, she is too thin. I'll see if I can find a can of that "Weight Gainer" stuff that Joe Weider sells. She can start taking that and pack on a few pounds, keep an eye on her.
Congratulations to Scott and Sheri on the new digs. Give us a call when your ready to move, we will help you, besides we want to see your new house. Maybe I'll get you a plant or something for a house warming gift. I hope you guys don't have a lazy old dog, I don't want to help move that.
I was going to post the verse in 1 Peter and in Isiaah where it tells how Jesus bore our sins and healed us but someone already beat me to it, Praise God Almighty. Christianity is the only religion in the world where someone, (someone special,) has died to redeem people from sin. They say that "all roads lead to God," If that is true, why did Jesus have to die? If all roads lead to God, why didn't Budha have to die, or any other of the thousands of so called prophets? No Jesus is someone very special, and he DID bear our sins and sorrows on that cross, that's why Christianity is what it is. That's why He is the "God that heals thee," and we can call on Him, and expect Him to answer,
not because we are anything, but because He is. We are just going to keep calling on Him, believing him, and expecting Him to do more than we can ask or think. He is faithful and just and does what he has promised, and that's where you come in. Hold fast to the fact that He is the same today as He was when they crossed the Red Sea
He is the same today as when they met on Mt Carmel and Elijah called down fire from heaven, He is the same today as on the day of Pentecost when fire fell from heaven again. He will be the same on that day that you walk out of that hospital!!
I hope I'm close by so I can see it first hand
We will see you soon, maybe we'll take a walk........
