Happy Monday.....
Quincey had a great weekend. They all enjoyed great times with Lyndsey and Dylan. They went to dinner, a movie and shopping. Boy, give them girls chances to get out of the hospital and they are outta there!! WAHOO!
Quincey continues to work hard and continues to have a positive attitude! (Not that anyone expects any less from that girl!!)
It was a quick conversation with Michele but we wanted to get an update on the blog. They continue to appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
In God's love,
Shari

Shari...YEAH that your house is almost done! Good job!
ReplyDeleteQuincey...YEAH that you're moving & grooving! Every day is a blessing. I've kept up with the blog, just haven't been able to log in. Computers make me grrrrrowl. Anyway...YEAH that you're getting more & more feeling/control back! That's just awesome! It's also good that you're going to school. I'd hate to think that you'd end up a year behind your class. ;) Can you even imagine what a good thing this whole experience will be when it's on your college applications? It shows that you have strength, faith, courage, determination and so many traits that are great to have at college! You had all those traits before...this whole thing just brought them to the surface is all.
I'm proud of you.
Uncle Trent & Brook...I think we were at the same hunters safety class! I'm Kayla's mom...made the dream catchers? I think Brook is the young lady that only missed 2 on the exam and did really well on the shooting part too? The class was really fun and both your kids did well. ;) It was nice meeting you.
Anyway...thanks for the update Shari. Quincey & all...keep your spirits up...it's a hard row to hoe...but you've got the tools.
OH I am reminded of a story.
A little boy and his Mom were out in the garden. He saw a really big rock. He asked his mom "Do you think I can pick up that rock?" Mom said "If you use all your strength, yes, I know you can move it." So the boy went over and tried. And tried. And tried. It wouldn't budge. His hopes crushed, he went back to his mom & said "I couldn't do it." The mom said "You didn't use all your strength." The boy said "YES I DID! DID you see ME?!" The Mom said "I did son...but sometimes you have to be stronger to ask for help...I am here, and with the Lord, we can do it together."
If any of y'all need help, I'm here, and I'll do my best to help. ;)
Hi Quincey - Your dad was just here visiting with us and we got caught up on all the news. No, I did not have any cookies, but he had a good time anyway.
ReplyDeleteHe told us what is happening with you. Good for you and good for God. He is glorious and He deserves all our praise.
We got 6 inches of snow last night, so it looks fresh and clean. Kind of like what God does for us - making us fresh and clean.
The road in front of the house was just getting dry enough to get the motorcycle out, but that is going to have to wait for a while. Skip ready to get riding again.
And we can't wait until that time when you get to come home. We have plans to bring over dinner and sit have a meal and visit with you.
Then there is that flower planting thing that we all like to do. We need to get up to our valley on the mountain side and do that!
Stay well and keep your eyes on Jesus.
Love to you and your mom,
Skip and Suzanne
Hi Guys!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you've been told we got snow today. Up here it is 3-4". Came in so hard last night. First rain then turned to snow. Slicker than snot!. Had to go to Rifle this a.m., must have been ten wrecks in the median from Silt on down. One looked bad, the rest just bumped or stuck. Not a good day for a lot of people going to work.
Did you all recuperate from the weekend? Having fun is exhausting!
Love hearing all the good news. Prayers are being answered. You guys keep up the hard work. We know you get weary, but there is a great verse for that.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
We continue to pray the Lord gives you the strenghth to make it through each day.
GOD is GOOD!!!!!
Love to All,
Miles & Teresa

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say Hello!!! And tell you that it is a little chilli out today but the sun is out and it is very pretty.. Last night the moon was so big and full, it lit up the whole mountian side behind the house, it made it look so beautiful.. I know spring is coming soon and the days are getting longer, befor you know it school will be out for the year agian..
ReplyDeleteBrian said that we were coming to see you saturday I honestly can't wait to see you and your mom... I'm glad you had a wonderful weekend you have earned every moment, keep up the good work... I hope you have a wonderful day.. See you soon love Shurre
Hi Quincey,
ReplyDeleteI hope this finds you well. Karen and I went to McDonny's last night with your sisters and your grand mother. We rocked that place. We took our grand kids and things will never be the same there. I'll bet Ronald McDonald will think twice before he opens the place to those hooligans again.
I think they had a blast but can't say for sure, no one was talking when we left except Kathy. That Mackey is so smart, your Mother has really been educating her. Hats off to Michelle. I also heard a very disturbing rumor. Kathy said, and the girls testified to the fact, that Shane has a picture of Howdy on his cell phone. Is this true??? If it is, I know of a place where they have support groups for people with these kinds of illness. They do electro shock treatment for really sick people that do that kind of stuff. I'll e-mail you all the information. (not cause I've ever been there, I just heard about it). Your Dad called the other day needing a price for a windshield in his Ranger. I told him it would be cheaper to use some clear plastic and duct tape, or just wear a pair of aviator goggles. Yes they do have those to fit a dog. I can just see those two going down the road, big smiles on their faces, bugs in their teeth, slober flying everywhere, they couldn't be happier if they had good sense. No need for a windshield anymore. Tell Shane with no window maybe the wind would clean some of the hay and dog hair out of the cab of that classic car!
I hear your getting control of more appendages every day. Thumbs and toes and more sensitivity all over, Praise God!!! That's what I'm talking about!! Better get some GORP before it's all gone. I'd hate to have to walk all the way from Denver with no GORP. Those power bars constipate you, GORP is way better. Hopefully some of the snow has melted up on top of Vail Pass. I would hate to see you snowshoeing all that way, that's hard work. You may not be "tough enough" to do that, what's that, a challenge??? The snow will be hard as a rock anyway.
God bless you Quincey, keep trusting and praying, God will be glorified thru you!!!
Ken and Karen
