Happy Monday!

Good evening! I just received an email from Michele. I also got to talk to her for a few minutes.

Quincey had a nice relaxing weekend. She got to visit with alot of friends and family on Saturday. She attended church and got lots of rest on Sunday.

More and more therapy! She is starting a new class this week. It will include circuit training for strength and endurance. She keeps getting stronger and stronger. They realize that in a short period of time Quincey has made some amazing gains! They know that it has nothing to do with their efforts. It is all from God and He gets all the glory! Today she had quite a workout on the FES therapy bike. She is working very hard so that the effort is hers and not the motor! She is up to almost 100 miles so far! Pool was very good as well! Core strength, leg strength and endurance are all improving nicely! THE BIG NEWS OF THE DAY IS THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO MOVE HER LEFT WRIST! WWWWAAAHHHOOOOO!!! That is such a HUGE thing to get that movement back! So prayer warriors - keep it up!! Your efforts are not in vain.

Their friend Robin (their roommate on the west side) needs prayers tonight. Robin has requested prayer for three things. 1. That her spasms will go away, 2. Her eight year old son, and 3. Her broken heart.

Choose to Live, Be a Fighter.

Scripture tonight is:

"I call heaven and earth as witness today against you, and I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." Deuteronomy 30:19

On a personal note, I am requesting prayers tonight for a family in the valley. As most of you know, our family was chosen by Habitat for Humanity. They are building an upper and lower duplex for us and another family. The family that was supposed to live upstairs, has chosen to accept a Habitat home in Carbondale to be closer to her family. Unfortunately, her father was just diagnosed with Stage 2 or 3 melanoma. Please pray for Thae and Sebastian Dunn and Thae's father. Also, please pray that we are able to get a CO on Wednesday so that we may move into our new home the end of this week. Thank you.

In Him,

Shari

  2. Quincey, family and friends:

I have been sending my biography to some possible business partners and it brought to mind some of my greatest challenges and passions.

I use these words together. Challenges and Passions. There is nothing in my life which I am passionate about which was not difficult.

When I was in high school and college, wrestling was my passion and there were times when I hated it. It was so demanding and difficult. Then shortly after the season was over, I missed it so much. I still have this passion.

Nowadays I have a couple passions. Tennis is one. The first time I was out playing in a wheelchair, I hated it. I could not get to the ball much less hit it. Tenacity, practice, and commitment have changed my tennis experience. I am a good player and I am always trying to get better.

Quincey: You will have many challenges in the near and distant future. Many of these will be extremely difficult and they will reveal your passions. It is the passions which add zest to your life.

All things work together for for good, for those who love God and are called according to His Will.

    God Bless You. Jody
