They had a great day today....lots of family in and out. Quincey was up and mobile for several hours. The smile never left her face.
Quincey was humbled by the article in the Post Independent and the support of the community, family and friends.
Progress continues and its amazing to witness.
Quincey would like to ask for prayers for Salbatore Vanni, four years old, son of Dr. Vanni (Quincey's neurosurgeon in Miami). He has Stage 4 neuroblastoma and he is so precious. Also, Zach, 15 years old, who is a new patient at Craig. His family is from California, his dad is Brad and his mom is Darcy. They do not have any family in Colorado.
Tonight the scriptures were chosen by Danika (my eight year old daughter) and Sabree (my eight year old niece) for Quincey's restoration.
Danika's choice is as follows "Always be full of joy in the Lord...Don't worry...; instead, pray... Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this you will experience God's peace, wonderfully beyond understanding. His peace will guard your hearts and your minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4,6,7
Sabree's choice is as follows "...I have learned how to get along happily... whether I have much or little. ...I have learned the secret of living... with plenty or little. For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. Philippians 4:12-13
Peace and blessings to you all,
Shari

Bless you Quincy.
ReplyDeleteShari's daughter Danika's scripture really means something to me. I have been out on a perverbial limb for some time. There is a lot wind affecting the stability of this limb. The limb is shaking. I keep watching the leaves and not the trunk. .... Stick to the foundation!
I pray that the stability of God's word gives you a firm foundation for your hope. I pray that the people God has placed around you reassure that foundation.
I take time to pause and meditate on the character of God. What has He promised? What has He provided? What has He revieled?
Thank you, Quincy. God is using you to connect with other people. It has opened up a window where the Spirit can touch the hearts of his people.
God Be with the whole family.
Love, Jody

Hi Quincey.
ReplyDeleteIt's Sunday and yes, we prayed for you and your folks today @ church.
Everybody is praying for you all. You guys must be the most popular people in the valley! We will be sure to pray for the two guys that you named in your blog. Talked to Teresa R. today and she said she saw you when they were over there visiting Shane. She said you looked great, and you know, "It's better to look good, than to feel good". (Who said that) Anyway she said you guys got a kick out of the Howdy roast.
I hope you know that is was all in fun, you know as well as I do that as dogs go he is the Max. He will go down in dog history as the dog most likely to succeed. (At what, I have no idea) I hear you've been all over the hospital grounds checking out the place. I've never been there but I hear they are very good. Tell your Dad if he ever goes back to work, to come by and chat with us, I want to see if he has changed his hair do or gotten a tan. I suppose when he went swimming he wore is long johns?? Most old time cowboys do, and boy do they look stupid. (I'm wearing mine to Florida next month, in case I go to a water park or something. I really like Under Armour for swimming, it makes you more boyant, and you look just like a skinny seal from under water. That's real handy when your 100 yard off shore in shark invested waters, swimming like a wounded fish and you just cut your hand to the bone on a sharp rock when you tripped, getting into the water! Karen always fills my pockets with "Chicken of the Sea" tuna when I go swimming in the ocean, she says you see a lot more sea creatures when you do that. And she's right, fish are swimming all around me, but it's hard to get that smell out of your board shorts!
We are taking our kids to Disney World for a couple of days, unless the airline goes bankrupt. Obama says to spend money until your stupid, or your broke, whichever comes first, so we're doing our part for the economy. I don't want to get off on the economy, I didn't write to depress you, that happens when you start paying taxes.
I don't know how long you will be over there but sure am anxious to see you back over here. Tell your Mom that she could type a little something on this blog if she's not doing anything constructive....
Bye for now and hope to see you soon, remember what it says in 2 Chron. "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. I belief your heart is loyal to him, so expect Him to show himself strong on your behalf, that's our prayer.
Ken & Karen
Quincey "Rough and Tough" Snyder,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE you so much, you amaze me. I miss playing ball with you but I am not too worried about it because I know you'll be playing with me again soon enough, I know that because I know how tough you are, on the court and in life. This injury has nothing on you, afterall you are a bit of a stubborn ass (don't try to deny it)... because it makes you that special "you". You also have Christ in you, you asking your friends to pray for others before you shows that you are the rare person that anyone would be truly blessed to know and I know I have been blessed to know you. Continue to improve. And if you need something to make you laugh remember Kelsey smoking her head on the metal bars on the bus on the way to School of Mines, playing "snakes a.k.a running spoons" in the Wyoming Dorms, and me making fun of you for hitting the bus ("but my hand slipped!" still don't buy it). I love you! Sandy
Quincey that is so amazing i am so proud of you and i will most defenatly pray for them! I can wait to come see you i miss you so much, its werid that i haven't talk to you in person in three weeks...i am use to you screaming cake-a-lyn down the hallways and it the office...I love you
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!
ReplyDeleteAs you can tell we gave Ken what for in church. Punishment for talking bad about a geriatric canine was a noggin noogie. He got one right in the aisle during greeting. What do you do with those 'onery cousins anyway, you just gotta love 'em.
We know your therapy schedule is going to be getting more aggressive this week. Here's a great verse, worthy of a sticky note plastered on the wall.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy way. Psalm 91:11
Try to get some rest. It's going to be a big week.
Love to All,
Miles & Teresa
