Good evening! I haven't received an update for the last couple of days but I wanted to put a couple of scriptures on tonight. I am sure that Quincey and Michele are enjoying the time with the girls and keeping busy with therapy.
"However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him - but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit...." 1Corinthians 2:9-10
"We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests." Psalms 20:5
As always, I pray for you all,
Shari

Hi to Everyone!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say a quick hello. Can't believe another week has come and gone.
Haven't heard you've been kicked out of Denver, so you all must have behaved. Can't wait to hear how therapy went this week!!
You wouldn't believe how hard it has been snowing this a.m. The whole week has been unsettled. Sure makes it hard on the psyche. I just keep telling myself "It's good moisture, it's good moisture...". I don't think that's working very well anymore:-)
My verse for today fits right in with the weather.
"As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it flourish,
so that it yields seed for the
sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out
from my mouth." Isaiah 55:10-11
Isn't it comforting to know God's word is "good moisture" for our soul?
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Love You,
Miles & Teresa
P.S. Please give Robin a hug from us. Hope the surgery gave her relief from the spasms. We continue to lift her in prayer.
Quincey & michelle, You've been on my mind, and I just wanted you to know that I'm sending good thoughts your way today. So if you find lots of reasons to smile or if you hear kind words and if you warm feelings find their way into your heart, then some of my wishes for you have been coming true... I'm hoping that each moment of the day brings a chance to surround yourself with all that's meaninful to you.. I hope the comfort of your favorite things, the joy of sharing, and the inspiration of discovery lift this day beyond the ordinary... Your on my mind today, so I hope you'll take a moment to think of me thinking of you and smiling... ReplyDeleteHi Quincey,
ReplyDeleteWe have not heard any news about you flipping all the water out of the pool, or power lifting 10, loaded, bed pans or any super human feats of strength this week.
But I am confident that you have been doing just that. I am sure glad that you're taking your time cause I don't want to have to walk that pass in this weather!! You know an old guy could catch his death of cold being out in this weather, (I'm talking about your Dad) so take your time and let some sun shine up there for a day or two.
God's word says to "take up your cross and follow me. " That is what your doing, taking up your cross, and following him. Your an inspiration to the rest of us. Thanks for hanging in there and being strong. I can't wait till we see you at home. I want to personally shake your hand. Tell Michelle we can't wait to see her again too. I hope she started eating again. I'm not impressed with that "Gondi" thing she's doing, starving herself half to death for the cause. When you guys get back, I'll have Karen cook her a hotdog or something.
If she don't want it she can throw it out in the yard, it shouldn't take more than a week for Howdy to find it, if he ever finds it.
I've been told I can't say anything negative about Howdy. I've been told that it hurts your feelings when I poke fun at that old sac of Mighty Dog. So from now on, I will only say positive things about him. Why just the other day when we picked up the girls, as he was lying on his pillow, in a stone cold stupor, I was struck by how shiny his coat was. He was breathing hard, ( just from breathing I guess,) doggy drool was running down his chin into a puddle of drool, collecting in a small depression in one of the boards that that make up the porch, so I suppose he had been "grooming himself." He sure looked good!!!! A cat strolled by, approx. 3" from his very sensitive nose and I'm sure I saw his nostrils flare!! That's right, he had actually caught a whiff of something!! But before it registered that it was his arch enemy, I think he may have lost conscienceness again and passed out, too bad, "he missed it....... by that much." Then a cloud drew in front of the sun and cast a shadow on his not so lean, gleaming, heavy, bulging figure
and in the low light, (the very, low, light) he looked almost healthy. I was impressed by the amount of time that elapses between breaths.
At times you get the urge to go and push on his chest with your booted foot to make him gasp one more time when, all on his own, his atrophied, shriveled up little lungs expand for another life giving breath.
Then the realization hits you, "It is alive after all."
Well, I better get off of here so someone else can get a word in edge wise. Can't wait to see ya
Ken & Karen
Hi Quincey - Ok, we are now tired of snow. In the past 2 weeks we have gotten 49 inches of snow at our house. Yes, it does settle down and look like less, but then again, it is white everywhere. Skip is going to have to winterize the Harley again and I will have to put all our leathers in the back of the closet. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteToday is Palm Sunday, but instead of a cute spring dress for church, I had to get out a wool blazer and a turtle neck sweater, since it was 8 degrees this morning.
Yes, spring is late in coming here.
Tigger doesn't mind. He moves from the warm bed to the couch right by the fire. What a life!
Keep up your good attitude!
Hope to see you at home very soon.
Love to you and your mom,
Skip and Suzanne
